I can't even re-find right now what P.M.A.B, LLC, stands for, but it is a medical billing collections agency based in Charlotte.  They appear to be legitimate, with accreditations and such, but there are many negative reports about them on the web.

I guess they're in a kind of "Catch-22:"  They won't send a Dunning notice in the mail without talking with a person on the phone, and Mom won't initiate any business dealings on the phone with a stranger.

Per manta (and a reference on another site) I believe this is who you are dealing with -- appears to stand for "Professional Medical Adjustment" and there are a number of complaints on various sites

OK, thanks for checking.  Peemab seems to avoid egregious violations of law using their own phone numbers, but we think they're using other numbers to taunt their targets, including calls all day with no caller ID.
