Wow this is verbatim the exact phone call I received, it was two in one day. I got spooked I'll admit, but I am happy to hear its just a scam.

Right now,  (9:15 PM PST)  if you call that number,  the robo-greeter will say "First Financial Legal Division".  Just another of the endless CIDs they put up to keep people from finding exactly where they are located.

I also received the same call today, has scared me to death, telling me they are taking me to civil court and that if I didn't pay with in 24 hours I would be subpoenaed to court.. I called the # 1-855-393-8081 back and no on ever answer always have to leave a message and then they call back.... but the answering machine saying First Financial Legal Division with never a answer.

Very abusive language...threatening to throw me in jail...called my grandmother, daughter, son and husband telling them the same...threw the f bomb around like crazy.

The next time they call, let them know they are calling on a recorded line and you intend to have them prosecuted for attempted extortion and wire fraud.

They are doing the same to me ! I filed a complaint with consumer protection agency. Do it ! I am 72 years old and disabled and they scared me to death ! Also calling my relatives ! File a complaint with CPA !

I filed complaint today with consumer protection bureau ! How to they not know this is going on ? People need to file complaints !

Same phone call to me...word for word. They had their guy call my children at their place of work ( while calling my phone at the same time)  looking for me to "serve me a summonds to appear in court".  How did they get my children's phone numbers?! Called my husband at his work also. I called the magistrates office the next morning and the lady in civil courts office said its a scam. Its a bogus case number.   She took the info I had on them and is reporting it.

These people are making my life a living hell ! I have filed complaint with ftc.gov,but they need a company name ! There is a list of names used by these people, they will not give you a name ,but found list of names used by them !what other action can I take ? Called sheriff,filed complaint and told these people that ! They still keep calling my relatives and me ! It's crazy. Going to legal aid and county clerk's office on Monday to see if can do more ! I am 72 years old and not in good health and they aren't helping matters ! They call and threaten garnishments of social security, serving legal papers,going to court,etc. ! I have given them my address and told them to serve papers,I have never had a MasterCard and they say this is the debt bi owe !! Bull!

I'm not sure why all you people are complaing. If you do your reasearch a little bit. You will find this is a legitamate company.. Also 80% of you on here that are complaining really owe the money but are trying to find ways of not paying by calling the attorney general, the police and the ftcpa. If you owe the money and you know you owe the money. Just pay your bill and take care of your responsiblities and stop complaining. You know if you own this debt. You probably can negotiate a lower payment and get rid of it. Most of them will work with you if you ask them. But i get tired of everyone complaining about this and that when they know they are the one who created the bill. Beleive me if they really wanted to they could take you to court. Quit complaining about saying someone is harrassing you and making threats. You really know thats a lie. Take care of your responsibilities people

[***] called yesterday to my employer aND my phone. Asked for 15k immediately or they will garnish my wages. Refused to give a name of their company. Asked for a letter stating that and they s3nt a generic email statement asking for money. Seemed like a ransom note. They also called my son's amd told them that they should convince me to settle so I don't get in trouble.

The only way I got their name was from their dumb email.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
