- BigA replies to Big DaddyWell, CVS has never called my up to tell me that a prescription was approved or needs renewal. When I do have to talk to them, they are certainly not afraid to tell me what drug we are talking about. Take your drama queen posts somewhere else, or at least start posting accurate information, not conjecture, conspiracy theories, or movie plots.
- Bee| 1 replyI was expecting a call from CVS/Caremark so that when I saw this number, even though it s not the number I normally call, I attempted to call back. Once, after 3 rings, there was silence. Second try, it said # is not available. So I called the CVS number on my card and inquired if this was a bona fide number calling for CVS business. I was told it was, and that they could not leave personal messages. I was told that the best thing to do is call CVS the normal way.

- Ron in Ohio replies to BeeLegitimate number? I don't think so! IF - They are a legitimate CVS CAREMARK call why don't they identify themselves on the caller ID? I get calls all the time from them and NEVER a "follow-up snail mail" - I do not deal with CVS - My calls have to be a SCAM! Called again today, 01/19/'18 @ 3:55 PM.
- AngieJust received a call from this number stating is CVS Caremark Pharmacy letting me know that the medication my Doctor prescribed me had been approved. I called the number back and it said it was Caremark and to enter my authorization code. I immediately hung up and went to the Caremark website for the 800 number and called them. I gave them the number that called me and they looked it up on the list of numbers that they use for automated calls..and I was told that number is NOT on their list of numbers and that they NEVER call the patient to inform them authorizations have been approved...that goes directly to the prescribing Doctor.
- SteveIt's legit. I didn't know CVS owned my Medicare part D provider Silverstein! Call to let.me know they had approved a med.

- unknownthis number claims to be an attorney and said they have made several attempts to serve me court papers. They claim their is a judgement from 2008 and they have made numerous visits to my home to serve documents. They don't give much as to whom i owe and then threaten to come to my work and serve me. To avoid this embarrassment if I am will to set up a settlement over the phone. The more questions i asked the caller would start to get annoyed and would raise their voice. I hung up.

- georgegot a call claiming to be from CVS Caremart with an 'authorization for a prescription'. No one in our family uses CSV for anything. When we called back, they wanted ID numbers - not the reference number they left on v-mail - they wanted drivers license number for 'proof' we were real. Scammers. Blocked.

- BLIt's CVS Caremark. I Googled the number because I didn't recognize it, saw that some people were saying it's CVS Caremark, and picked up because I was expecting a call from them. I am now posting to let others know that it is legit. It was simply an automated message saying my prior authorization was approved, which just means they agreed to cover an expensive prescription my doc recently prescribed. Since it's an automated message it's not like they're asking you for information.
Your insurance carrier may have prescription drug coverage through CVS Caremark. I have BCBS and they have an agreement with CVS Caremark. If you don't have any prescriptions and if you are 100% certain your insurer doesn't use Caremark for prescription drug coverage, then yeah, ignore the call because it's probably a wrong number.
If you don't feel comfortable answering, that's OK. Last time this happened to me, they called me and mailed a letter. So, if you're expecting your insurance to make a decision on covering your prescription, you should find out either way.- Caller: CVS Caremark
