This is one of the ways a Debt Scammer works.  Getting a new work number?  Not hard at all.  They  may have called your old work number.  Or someone else in your family.  In the Age of Info, getting contact phone #s and addresses is not hard at all. And it does scare people to think the crooks have ALL your personal info.
Debt scammers want to scare you into paying on debt you do not have.  You have to be legally notified of an outstanding debt.  Phone calls, faxes and email are not NOT legal notifications.
Ignore and block the calls.

This scammer calls himself Don Brooks.  Calls from 855-437-5016 X1227618 - doesn't state what he is calling about. trying to sound stern and hard.  It doesn't work for me!  Filed the number with Federal Trade Commission

Also call from 800-695-7444 800notes.   Uses a common CID of COmety Bank. Same sort of calls.  Some "Specialist" wants you to call them back.  I'd simply ignore and block the calls.

I've been getting calls from and unknown # and voicemails left saying the same thing.

Very stern and made an error in leaving her phone number...Jennifer...same # with ext 1227742...very annoying and called from private number...shameful

Caller left a message...claimed his name is Mr. Calloway and that I need to contact him (or have my lawyer contact him...ha!) Knew my name, But never said what it was about.

Number keeps calling and leaving threatening messages.  His name has now changed to Andrew.  Such as shame they have all this time to scam people but can't put the effort into getting a real legitimate job

Caller looking to contact a friend of mine.  Didn't say my name.  Must of hacked my unlisted phone # from friend's phone or whatever.  Clearly a scam. It sounded like the caller was being prompted, given the unsure hesitation in message delivery.

Left me a message stating that an urgent matter was left for her this morning concerning my "issue". That I need to call her back immediately to resolve my "issue". Left an extension number and call back number but no comment about what company they represent or what "issue" there was. Any legitimate company that has an urgent matter concerning any affair you may have with them will state the company and some reference. So much for being on a DO NOT CALL list.

I keep getting voicemail from this number 855-437-5016. One message was "It is very important that you do not disregard this message, return my call as soon as possible". Other message was "We can settle your debt before we contact our attorney". [***]...........................

Received a very "urgent " message to contact Hairston at 855-437-5016 ext. 1225079 by 3:00 to discuss a business matter that has been escalated to his desk!!!!
