I just got this call as well saying it's an officer from IRS about fraud. Not sure to believe it or not.

The IRS will not call you. They send letters via US Mail. The IRS won't ask you to pay in i-Tunes cards. The IRS will not wish you "good luck as the situation unfolds". Trust yourself and your instincts - do not let a bully intimidate you by threats that are nothing but hot air (and bad breath). This is a SCAM.
Do not answer calls you don't know and never call them back.

LITERALLY JUST RECEIVED THIS CALL AS WELL!

I got this voice mail today....

“Hi this is Ofc. Ryan Smith giving you this is a call from a RS internal revenue service the reason why we are trying to touch with you it was just to notify you that there is a tax fraud ⁠suspected in your tax papers which need to be rectified immediately so I need you to call me back and if you are not give me a call back I need your lawyer to call me back as soon as possible on my direct number 1-855-442-4460 I repeat 1-855-442-4460 we don't try to disregard the message and call me back as soon as possible again this is Ofc. Ryan Smith from by our _ internal revenue service…”

I called the number back and it was someone foreign saying I had a warrant for my arrest and told me my address and called me by my maiden name, which I did not give him. He never asked for any financial information or anything other than my name. Called the local police and they said it was a scam. It's just weird they knew my info and didn't want anything other than to tell me I had a warrant and to go to the local courthouse and turn myself in. So weird!?!

By calling them back you just verified for them that yours is a "good' number and now you will receive more worthless calls from this and other numbers. *67 does not work on toll free numbers. Do not answer call you don't know and never call them back. It's not weird it's a scam-they would have gotten to the punch soon enough.

Officer Ryan Smith call from IRS, about tax fraud. Was told not to disregard the message, LOL.  They have called twice today.

He called and left message that his name was officer Ryan Smith and fraud was showing in my IRS record and that he needed myself or my lawyer to call him back

Robo called AGAIN...Warning TAX FRAUD!

These people are idiots. Trying to call me and saying I have a warrant out for my arrest because of IRS tax fraud. First when I answered it, the call came across the "United States" and a automated message came across saying "This is officer Ryan Smith with the IRS fraud dept. You or your lawyer need to call 1-855-442-4460 immediately. Do not ignore this call. Again this is Officer Ryan Smith with the IRS fraud dept." I instantly knew it was a scam, but I called them anyway just to see what they was trying to scam me out of. The guy who answered, name was "Jack Williams" he had a mid eastern/ Indian accent. He went on to tell me I filed my taxes fraudulently and that there was an arrest for my warrant & if I don't pay so much, the police are on there way. I told him, I was already sitting at the police dept, so there is not need for them to come and get me. The guy goes "what do I do then". I told him, to give me his real name and number & will be sure that the police will be out to get him for scamming people and he hung up. So if you see this number or get this message, know that this is a scam and that the IRS will not call you. They will always mail you a letter.

The call I got from this number left a pre recorded robo voice message saying they were calling form the the irs and there was a "tax *unintelligible* flaw in my tax papers" the call was robo voice form officer ryan smith didn't mention my name or phone number or anything that would indicate they knew who they were calling.

Just received this moments ago:
"This is officer Fred Smith from the I.R.S. notifying you that there is a tax fraud in your last tax return.
Please call back immediately to assist you 855-442-4460.  This is officer Fred Smith, I.R.S.

They are daying they are the irs and i committed tax fraurd to call my lawyer.

Looks like they are on the prowl because I got the same call. SCAM. Nuff. Said.

Got a voice mail on my cell phone - A computer generated voice saying This is Officer Ryan Smith of the IRS, Internal Revenue Service.  Funny, i work for my CPA sister so I'm pretty sure there isn't any fraud with my tax papers.

I did not answer the phone and they left a recorded computer message that they were officer Ryan Smith from IRS to verify my income for tax fraud.  I was in my car so I called the number and it was busy.  I verified the number when I was able to login on a computer and the phone was busy.  I figured it was fraud.

Stated they were from the IRS in Washington DC..but English was not that fluent when I would confront them they would hang up.

I received the same call..but I called back and they couldn't verify anything and hung up.

Recorded message stating some horse *@%# about "..tax fraud with your papers..."   The message urged me, "..have your lawyer call us back immediately..."

As a previous reviewer stated: the IRS sends letters, not stupid phone calls.

Don't fall for it!

Didn't recognize the number, didn't answer the call, caller left a message saying that he was with the IRS. The IRS won't call you they send letters. This is a scam

Recieved two calls from 855-442-4460 that left a message each time in a robo voice.  Took forever to reach someone and everytime we would exchange hello's and then I would let them know I was returning their call and then they'd hang up. Also they were claiming to be from the IRS
