- Bri52Got the same Identical message on our voice mail from "Bill" at "National Notification Department" as several others posted here. "$50,000 contest" etc, etc, call back at 1-855-545-7296. Caller ID showed Private Name/Private Number.
- Caller: "National Notification Department"
- TimI received a message from "Bill" saying that he has good news for me about a contest I had entered in the last 18 months. 4
$50,000 cash prize. The call came from Illinois caller ID number was 708-350-0113, different than the 855 number he left to call.- Caller: National North Vacation Dept.
- EB replies to Just Send me the Money| 1 replyI also got a messg. on our business line - from this number. 855-545-7296. They said they were National Premium Services and that my entry had been selected and I was to call back to claim my prize. I did call the number - and a VERY FAST TALKING female answered and just began spewing info. at me and talking over me as I attempted to figure out Who/What/Where - the sweepstakes originated. She claimed they are a 'clearing house' for various sweepstakes and that their offices were located in the town I live. She claimed that my 'entry' - was simply my purchase receipt at either a Lowe's, Home Depot, Mendards, or several other stores that she said so fast - my head was spinning.
She Kept Repeating that this is a Monitored call and that they are abiding by Federal guidelines. She asked for my first name and my pone number - which, I did give her. Then, she REPEATED everything she'd already said about the Federal monitoring, the stores, the check-out receipt, etc. So - I interrupted HER - and said - let's just get to it - "What have I won?"
And, she SHOUTED at me - "Listen, I'm not going to go back and forth with you - you've won $50,000".
However, to have someone SHOUTING at you in an angry tone - as they tell you, you've won $ - was very dis-concerning.
So, I told her I wasn't interested in her money - and I hung up.
If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is!
Again, if/when someone ever hands me $50,000 - I would hope they do it with grace and class - instead of shouting at me, like I"M THE ONE doing something wrong. Weird. - Pop AllenIt is from a Direct Buy company. When I answered their question with "yes, I have heard of Direct Buy and have been to one of those type presentations", he said "Disregard this phone call" and hungup. LOL!

- CWG40 replies to EBTypical scam. They are reading from a script and don't like to be interrupted because they can't follow their script. Which is a good way to mess them up.
I usually try to mess them up by interrupting. They yell at me, I yell back. Pretty soon they hang up. - ROBINI got the same message that many of you did from Bill at the National Communication Department - saying that I won 50,000 for a contest I entered in the last 18 mos.
