I called FedEx yesterday and took their 1 question survey at the end of the call.
I don't know if the number that just called was FedEx or not, but no caller ID, no answer.
What I'm doing now with unknown calls is quietly picking up the receiver and instantly and quietly hanging up. it might give the robo thing the impression that it's not a working number. Don't know if that helps but the amount of calls I've been getting over the last month has decreased significantly.

I did not answer as some 855 numbers can get you to say the word yes and you will be billed a lot of money from a scam. This could be Fed Ex but when my answering machine takes over they should leave a message if they are legit.

If all that was needed to bill you "a lot of money" was the recording of someone saying the word "Yes" they could use anyone's voice.

Caller id said 'Unavailable'.  No message was left.  Based on prior messages here, it appears to be a survey.

Of course it's a scam, FEDEX doesn't do separate calls for surveys, does it at the end of the call.  Just because it says FedEx doesn't mean it's actually them, spoofing their number, don't fall for it!

When FedEx calls, it says FedEx, not Toll Free Call!  Wake up people!  Spoofing their number!

Why would they try "to get you to say yes"? If all that was needed to "rip you off" is the recording of someone saying "Yes", why would they need it to be YOUR voice saying it? It's not as if you can be verbally identified by just one word.
By the way, you already replied to that poster back in October so why you felt the need to do so again with pretty much the exact same message is a mystery.

I answered "Hello .. Hello .. Nobody there?" & hearing naught, hung up. Caller ID showed only the number. After looking it up, likely was FedEx finally calling me back. I'd called their customer service twice about a missing package, was promised a call back in 2 hours each time. This was 1.5 days from first call.

call to my land line blocked by that rhyming call blocker.  CID said it was a toll-free call, not FedEx.  I did file a complaint with FedEx about a package delivery a few days ago and spoke to someone in their toll-free call center, then the next day a local person.  Still seems like a scam to me, despite the coincidence.

I wonder if someone inside FedEx are selling contact numbers...

The scary thing about this is that I got this call on an old private line that I have not used for several years, and the number has not been on my FedEx account for over 5 years.

I DID call FedEx on June 4th, BUT I did NOT use the private / old number. I used my mobile number - the one that is on file in my FedEx account.

Here's the voice message that (855) 559-7509‬ left on that old / private number today:

"1 for yes, 2 for no, or 3 for don't know. Are you the person who had contact with FedEx on June 4 about a call to track a package? Please press 1 for yes 2 no or 3 for don't know. Thank you for your responses. On behalf of FedEx, thank you for your participation. Goodbye."

This situation makes it seem possible that FedEx might have a breach / leak in their system (of course nobody can say for sure), since obviously this (apparent scam) caller / company knows about shipment queries between FedEx and their customers, but in my case I can tell the robo-caller has old contact info since, like I said, the call came to a private line that I don't use / haven't used in years and just have it set to forward voice messages to my email account in case any friends or family still have my old number.

I received a call ID as TOLL FREE CALL. I ignored the call. I called the number and a recording said something to the effect of "Sorry to miss the call" and "calling to take a survey on your recent experience with customer service" and "will try calling again. Goodbye." The recording never ID the company/organization.
Looking in this site and seeing many comments on FedEx, I assume it is Phake PhedEx Phishing.

I received a call yesterday from 800 463 3339 ID as FEDEX. A woman identified as Whitney,  greeted and asked if we needed any assistance questions with our account ending in ****.
I said no thank you. She then said we could call 866 504 9748 if needed.

I call FEDEX. It was soooo problematic trying to get through. Not being able to get to a representative with out an account numbers, tracking number etc. Pressing 0 didn't help. Saying "Fraudulent" or "scam calls" didn't get anywhere. I said "Technical support" which the recording started rambling off online procedures...  I pressed 0 again and was switched over to a Technical person. I explained the situation, she asked if I had a account and what is the number. I didn't have that with me being I have been working from home for the past 3 months, I would not be sending or receiving shipments. She said that it could have been a courtesy call from FEDEX. I gave her the number to see if she could verify it as legit. She said they have many 866 numbers but could not verified the number.

Once again I think, with so many scam calls, a the company should know what call center(s), outside companies they are using so when a client or non client calls they can say yes that is us or no it is a scam AND be concerned enough to at least take the fake number/name and relay it to their fraud department.

855-559-7509 Unknown Name was caller id and left no message - so I use Alexa which uses amazon online internet telephony to make calls with my google voice number showing as caller id.  Muffled connect sound and it tied up the line.  Had to unplug Alexa to disconnect.  Unusual.  (think if FedEx it would have caller id & I did talk to FedEx support yesterday - txt sms message to me said they had just made a delivery, but driver delivered to ???, and re-delivered it here 30min after my support conversation.)
