I'm in Ontario Canada and have been receiving calls from this #.  I see this goes back for years.  When I say hello, they don't answer so neither do I, then I hang up.  They do keep calling so I've blocked the #.

Can't be RBC. They called me yesterday (Good Friday) and today. When you get a call actually from RBC they are only open Monday-Friday 8-4. And Good Friday is a holiday so NO ONE would be working at the bank.

1, this is a phone number look-up site. No one here can "investigate" for you.
2, this is a scammer spoofing what may be an RBC number.
3, never pay anyone who calls claiming you owe money. Always demand they mail you proof of the debt.

This number has been calling me at least four times a day. I don't answer Kohl's I don't know and they never leave a message. I've been very ill in the hospital for over a week and they never stopped calling. It makes me want to cry! I finally had the energy to look up the number and found this site. I'm going to call RBC to make this sure this is a legit number

I work for a not-for-profit organization.  A former employee gave this RBC (it's a collections agency, not Royal Bank of Canada) our business number.  They think it's his home number.  After dozens of calls and explanations telling them he doesn't work here and it's not his number, it's a business, they continue to call.  I pick up and hang up to get the phone to stop ringing.  Next time I'm asking for a supervisor and if the calls don't stop, I'm reporting them to police for harassment.

I know that Canada has debt collection laws and places to report debt collectors.  I would even bet that Canada has a mail system in place.  Have you considered sending them a letter, preferably one that they have to sign for?

    Annoyed by scammers
I received call from this number (855-560-1406) when I was really busy in another office, away from my desk...I had to run all the way to answer the phone(my occupational defect). I saw caller ID as RBC but as soon as I answered, the caller hung up on me. And I remembered that it wasn't first time they did it to me. In curiosity, I called back the number and it said ' RBC collection..' It was absolutely wrong call to wrong place and I found many complaints that they are not real RBC. That means, it can be fraude! Please investigate and stop these people who disturb others' busy work , taking others' precious time and confusing many, by saying ' Collection'! Thank you. I will add this number to our daily ongoing scammers!!!

I called them back and the line dies just as it starts to ring. Initially this showed as an American number, now it shows as RBC. Definitely something fishy. Likely illigal.

Sunshine replies to Former RBC Employee
Former RBC employee they do have many numbers however these fraudsters know how to use any number so it appears on your call display. Yes if you call a valid RBC number you will get RBC however if you receive a call from the same number it may be these guys trying to make a living off of you.  The real problem is that is you call RBC, National Bank, Scotiabank and on....  that they don't always know the insides and outsides or the telephonic fraud scheme.   Best call your local bank branch and talk with the manager, check Trans Union and Equifax* to see if someone has played with your accounts or opened an account in your name, change card numbers (ask for new one) and passwords regularly.  Suspect all telephone calls and emails, don't put personal names, ages (birthday) or location in social media like Facebook, Twitter use a nickname instead and fake birthday if it requests this.
