Currently living with my grandmother and this number has been calling non-stop at LEAST 3 times per day, every day. Usually at the most inopportune times possible. Every time the phone is picked up there is no answer whatsoever, and if the phone isn't picked-up there isn't even a message left on the answering machine. This is become so bad I'm legitimately feeling like it's some sort of harassment and I'm feeling bad for my aggravated grandmother who is constantly being called by somebody who never answers their own phone calls. These people are lucky that I (along with numerous others) have no idea how to contact or go to them, because they'd be in deep, deep trouble.

They have been calling me 5 to 6 times a day!  How can I stop them?If it's RBC they have no reason to call me. I don't owe them money!

Wow, these [***] suckers called me 7 times today, and ate 2 dollars off of my pay as you go phone- as it went to my voicemail, and that costs money, you [***]' scum bags!!!

These pricks have called 19 times is the last 5 days

It's definitely RBC, and typically this is the collections dept. They have a block of numbers in the 855-560-14xx range. Now, maybe you really don't owe money because:
A) someone else had that phone # before you, and they think it's you
or B) Maybe your identity was stolen, and someone is borrowing cash pretending to be you
or C) Your name looks a helluva lot like some dude who owes cash to RBC and they just looked you up in the interwebs...

... but typically this is just because you're late on your payments. :)

This number calls 3 times  a day the latest being around 8pm and I know that the bank hours end at 430!  I picked up yesterday and they were asking for my hubby i said he was at work and asked what it was concerning, she said personal banking.  But she never said it was RBC.  We did though get a message left the day before by the same ppl and on that message it said its RBC at 8pm at night, get the hint we ARENT interested!!!!

Looks like a shill for the fraud here folks - trying to prop up this scam.  Don't be fooled.

I refuse to answer any phone calls from this number. It is a computer calling me, telling me to call them back, and no explanation whatsoever of who they are or what they want to talk to me about. When you do call the number you are put on hold. And if it's a collection agency, well then they would also have my address, and can contact me via mail. But this constant 3-4 times a day is annoying and harrassment. So whichever company thinks that this approach can go fly a kite.

Many think this is RBC but if it was they would leave a personal message directing you to make an appointment, etc.

Some have said this is someone fishing for personal information to steal your identity. Believe that and report this to the police. The police can't hunt them down and fix the problem if you don't tell them.

Shouldn't be RBC. They sold my debt to an outside agency.

This number has been calling us, our business number on Friday which my husband answered, they  claimed to be from RBC & were looking for me in regards to our business.  I have the security verification set up a certain way with our account & the guy certainly wasn't following this protocol, he wanted me to prove MY identity by giving him my date of birth.  Uh, NO!  So I told him I was ending the call & he advised me to go to my branch to clear this matter up.  What matter? There is no reason for them to call us regarding our business.  This morning they actually left me a voicemail on my cell phone addressing me by my full name, saying they would like to speak to me about my business account.  I called my branch instead, went through the security protocol I'd set up with them & the lady reviewed our accounts & said there was no reason why anyone from RBC should be calling us, that everything was fine.
So, is it legit?  I'm not sure.  If it is, that's a pretty strong indication of things being royally screwed up at RBC.

Gotten calls from this number and no one is there. Really pissing me off.

They call repeatedly beginning around 8 every morning.  I never answer as it is an unknown long distance number.  They ring once, then hang up and call again 2 minutes later.

7 calls in one day, been getting calls for over a month from this number. Never a voicemail left, all hours of the day, as early as 6am and as late as 9pm even on saturdays. I dont answer numbers i dont recognize. I even called Telus to see if they can block the number. Alas they cant since im using a cell phone and can only do blocks with land lines.

Ended up putting the number in my contacts under "do not answer" for a name and setting a silent ringtone with vibrate off so i never have it bother me.

If it is truely RBC collections they can leave a voicemail or use an actual 1-800 number, not an unknown area code number that if i call back could cost me gigantic long distance charges.

It is RBC i work at this call centre, pick up the calls, its for your own benefit!

It is RBC they asked if I wanted to get extra security on my credit card or something like that, I told him I would just inquire about it when I am in the bank next, he said they only have pamphlets there and I said im busy, well when is a good time to call back? UMMM NEVER! They still call 3 times a day, plus my cell.  I finally put both my phones on the BLOCK list!

I contacted RBC yesterday after this number called me nurmerous times without an answer when I picked up or whoever calling me not leaving a message.  Finally the last call a woman left a message claiming to be from RBC and asking me to call them back at that number.  Anyways, I asked RBC through their general questions and this is the response I got:

Now before you say that this is a scam and I'm working with the scam artist I want you to do this:
1) go to RBC's site.  I'm sure if you do online banking, you already have the site.  If not, I'm sure you can find it.
2) go to the bottom of their homepage and click on "Report a security concern" under security centre.
3) click on "general questions" and ask if this number is theirs.  

Regardless their calls are annoying and I really don't need a reminder that I missed a stupid credit card payment or I overdrawn on my account or whatever they want for I have yet to call them back.
