Seriously just got a call from this number stating they would have my husband arrested if we did not pat for a debt that we do not have nor ever had.  Allied cash advance I believe.  She got really pissed when I asked for documentation and proceeded to tell me good luck in court and hung up on me. Lol. Guess she won't be getting a commission off of me Andy it pissed her off.  SCAM!

I am so glad I looked for this site.  I too almost got scammed.  How are they getting SS#s and information?  The person I talked to didn't know if they had a website or an address.  This is crazy.  I really hope that are stopped before someone loses all of their money.

I got a call from Casey ext. 305 today, didn't answer it, as I do not answer calls from numbers not saved in my contacts. I will not be calling them back, we have a friend in the family that is an attorney, and I believe I will be having him call her back, maybe scare her or piss her off. I looked up Goldstein and Dwyer and found this...http://www.lookupbook.com/profile/healthcare- ... n-%26-dwyer-llc They deal with health care issues...so whoever is doing this is using a fraudulent business name as well. I hope they get caught!

These damn people called me a few weeks ago and and left a voice mail indicating that they were going to prosecute me for fraudulent activity and that either I or my lawyer may contact them.  So I ended up calling to see what this was all about and I ended up giving them $429 and that I have to pay the rest before a certain date or they would forward my case to my local county clerks office.. Her name was Brenda Mac and she said she was from Bryant and Benjerman law firm.. Then they keep taking processing fees from my account and I made them reverse those charges. Then today they left a message on my voice mail cuz I canceled my card and started threatening me that if I don't call them back within the next 15 min that they would forward my case to trial and that "They don't have time for this". Like i was wasting their time. However the man who left the message his name was Solano and he said he was from Goldstein & Dwyer..He was very threatening and demanding I call him back. He mention how much I have already paid and that he could settle for a cheaper price to avoid going to court. I had one of my co-workers give them a call to get their address and the just keep giving the run around.. Eventually we got a hold of someone and the address that they gave was 1376 Highland Avenue Niagara Falls NY they didn't give the zip. When I Google the address a  bridge over a railroad track pop up.. Then I found this cite and wish I did my research before sending any money.. I guess they sound pretty convincing at first and they had a lot of my personal information .. ID, address, employment status, almost just about anything and everything. Which I found out later that they obtained that information for a credit report since they had my social security number.. Well at the end of the day I got scammed out of $429 that I could of used that for something more important like bills or something.. Be careful and do your research before giving any money..I learned the hard way.

Same here. She first said they were going to garnishment my check I said you can't do that in Texas. She first said yes we can then she came back and said you are right no we can't. She then asked would I be willing to set up payment arrangements I said no. She then asked was I refusing to pay I said no I am asking for you to send me proof of this debt in writing so we can both be informed and discuss if payment arrangements are warranted. She she we are considering charging you with the intent to commit fraud, I said well if that's the case then you have to prove that I intended to do so or that I just couldn't pay if I owe. She then asked why didn't I pay I said if I owe and didn't pay it is because I didn't have a job. She then asked did I have a job when I took this supposed loan. I said if I took a loan yes, of course. Then I said just send me this documentation in writing cause I don't even know who I am talking to; she said well this is a FEDERALLY recorded line and we will just peruse fraud charges. I said good if you are recording then you understand I am asking for proof in writing. She hung up!

This is a perfect example of how low one could go to take away from those who are trying to make it in this world. We all have hard times and struggles but these low life scam artists try and tell you that you'll go to jail because you don't want give them any money. So they create a website over night big deal.. Anyone could create a website... Here is a little advise if your gonna create a website at least make it look realistic and not so fake. All the website talks about is how dedicated the are to help us and how professional they are and polite... Bull [***]. We got recordings of these scam artists and believe me they are not professional at all. If their address was real why is it when we ask where they were located they didn't have an answer and so they hang  up. We asked if they had a website to see if we could make a payment and they said that they didn't have one and that the ONLY payment method is by credit/ debit. What? No money orders.  We have that on recording too. So if you believe that the website is real.. Here is some advise get a lawyer. Do not answer to that number cuz all they need is a phone number or Email address and they will get you.

This number has called a few times. I never answered, but they left an automated voicemail. The message says they are calling in regards to a return from my bank. They want me or my represenative to call them back before they take legal matters. Nice try, not falling for it!

Thank goodness I googled the number that called me today!  I got soooo scared when I heard that they were going to send me to jail because of a payday loan I took out over 2 years ago; I lost my job shortly afterwards and was unable to pay it back.  I got multiple calls from "Goldstein & Dwyer" that were very threatening and rude!  One of the reps name was Grace Marshall.  I'm so glad I found this website because now I know not to worry and to ask for something in writing prior to "paying off" my debt.  It is alarming though that they know my social security number, phone number, address and license number.  They make it sound so legit, but now I see that they are not.  Don't these calls or don't give them the time of day!

They use these tactics of threatening jail and police with the payday loan debts because they know that these types of debt, when you use a post-dated check or make a loan payment with a check, do not fall under the fraudlent check writing penalties.

They have you info because the purchased your debt for the original owner when they couldn't collect it.  They almost got me, until I read that the post dated checks you write to these loan companies are not punishable under the bad check laws.  That's why they use the threatening of jail and police to get you to pay.

I am glad I checked into this before speaking with them. I also received the threatening calls from Casey and from a document server Yvette Smith.  They claim they tried to serve papers and they will go to my work and serve them to me and boss if I do not call back 855-606-1323. I called them back today and  I told them they need to send anything they are requesting in writing.  "Casey" said all previous debt collection attempts were already sent to me.  I referred her to the Fair Collection Act and she said they are a mediation firm and not a collection agency.  I asked her exactly what is their purpose if they are not collecting a debt.  I also asked her why Yvette Smith was calling to serve papers, and she claimed she didn't know who that was and had no answer why she had their phone number and case number.  She started getting frustrated with me and said Good Luck in Court and hung up.  I called right back and they hung up again.  I called back again and spoke with Judy and asked for their address so that I may file charges against them.  She said I needed to speak to their director.  She came back on the phone and provided P.O. Box 153, Albany NY  14202.  I asked her how she sleeps at night knowing they are scamming people.  She said "you have a good day" and hung up.  It makes me so mad that they are preying on fear of people already struggling with financial problems.  Bottom line, if they are a legitimate company they would have no problem sending their requests in writing.

    Lawyer's son
I received the same threatning call on my cell today. The rude man left a message about a person and a debt i know nothing about. I saved it on my phone as my father who is a prossecutor told me to. I then called back and told them it wasa wrong number and the man started calling me a lier and a felon, and i will be arrested soon. He yelled and used foul language. All which is against the law, and all that i am sure they do to everyone. The ftc will only take this seriously if everyone complains and someone starts a class action suit against John miglor or whatever his name as owner and the company name Goldstein@Dwyer collection agency.

I receive a call from this number about every 6 months or so. They call about 10 times and I keep telling them not to call my work number. They have even told my co-workers that they have issued a "FELONY WARRANT" for me and that i must call them back. They have also threatened that they are sending a processor out to my work along with the local police department to "arrest me". However they will not tell me what the "warrant or arrest is for"; they will not give me any info other than it is an unpaid debt. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!! The last time they called they said that it was Kasey at some law firm Golstein ...... but the time before that they said they were an officer; but couldn't/wouldn't tell me what kind of officer. It is just a scam trying to get money from me. Not even sure what debt i would have not paid, since they can't or won't give me that info. Can't help them I told them this morning that I had contacted the local District Attorney's office and they hung up on me. SCAM SCAM beware!!!! Do not give them any personal information.

Today my brother received a call from 8556061323 threatening to send him to jail because he was a co signer on a payday loan I took out in 2002!  They threatened, called repeatedly until he finally agreed to pay and gave them his bank account information. This is ridiculous.  I, too, was denied a physical address and given a PO box 153 in Niagra Falls.  You must file a consumer complaint with New York state to make this stop.

Called and threatened to send me to jail, insisted I pay immediately 541.00 dollars or the warrant they issued for my arrest would be immediate.  If I payed then I could the police an SOC number that Goldstein and Dwyer gave me and the police would leave.  Checked with the Attorney generals office no such number, no warrant-----------a total scam,  in the state of Arizona you cannot be arresedt for a payday loan, let alone for a payday loan I never took out.

Called this company back- very rude threatened me again and said see you in court, they hung up on me.
