- Aprilwish i found this website earlier... it all started back in June, my fiance received a call from a private number that left a message to call attorney Erica Drake at 855-606-1323. WE fell for it bad, made 2 payments of $423 and 2 payments of $325.... On my bank statement 3 went to Goldstein and Goldstein and the 4th went to Politan Processing Corp... Found this website yesterday after receiving a call from 855-413-5006 for rosenthal and Drake. This number 855-606-1323 is associated with 855-413-5006. Also affiliated with Politan Processing Corp, Goldstein and Dywer, and Rosenthal and Drake. I contacted my bank, my debit card has been cancelled and they are investingating (also reimbursed the money). I also went to the police station, the officer called 855-418-5490, left a message and it was Politan Processing... http://politanprocessingcorporation.com/ has the sames contact number. I received a call after going to the police from 855-413-5006 asking about another payment they wanted, one i mentioned Goldstein & Dwyer they said to forget about all payments< prior and future. All of these are scams!! wish i knew earlier but thank god i found out!!!

- Maria| 4 repliesI received a call from Linda Armstong basically stated same info as others have posted. I was foolish enough to make payment. I did find out in PA limitation is 4 years. I called back and Mr. Sullivan said once payment is made limitation is no longer valid. Does anyone know if that is true? I still have time to stop payment from posting, any suggestion on if I should stop payment.
- Caller: Linda Armstong. Politan Processinf

- dellem replies to Maria| 2 repliesWhat happened? Did u stop payment? I just got the same call about a past payday loan and I'm not sure if I should pay either
- don replies to dellem| 1 replydellem, are you saying that you don't know whether or not you paid off the loan? If you took out the loan and is still within the Statute of Limitations in your state, you should pay it. If you didn't take out a loan or it is out of Statute of Limitations in your state, don't pay it. If you honestly know of no such loan, definately don't get scammed into paying a dime. Request validation by us mail if there is any doubt about the debt or the collector. Do some research for yourself.
- Resident47 replies to donDon, have you seen any other part of this thread? I do agree to let these thugs choke on a dispute letter with a debt validation demand. But no debt collector which relies on horrible extortionist threats is holding a strong hand. Expired SoL or not, their debt claims cannot be valid in the first place. They are also liable in court to each alleged debtor they threaten. Maybe you should follow your own research advice.
- scammersmustdieThe FBI's site warns againdt this scam. Don't fall for it!!
- Resident47 replies to MariaThe bad news first: Paying toward some moldy debt does reset the Statute of Limitations. In some parts of the USA, merely promising to pay or admitting you might owe is enough to restart that clock. On that count, you are now the other "SOL" and can once again be sued for recovery. This trap of course is the point of a lot of collector trickery.
The possible good news: If you've taken the sort of abuse reported in this thread within the past year, you still have time to sue the thugs and try to win back your money as punishment. If so, absolutely cut off their payment pipeline, changing bank accounts if need be. - Resident47Seems I should repeat my link to a sister thread from the lead page ...

Remember you have rights which the worst collectors may be denying you with every sentence they speak. When that happens, don't just file complaints and wait for a rescue. You also have a right to fight your tormentors, and you are in the best position to do so.
