- M. from N.C. replies to MTYes, I did, and it also mentioned my bank's name which is scary. Maybe the USPostal inspector in Washington should check this out.
- Homer replies to MikeHuntleton| 3 repliesNo need to be rude, Huntleton. There are senior citizens that are sucked into scams like this every day. Especially widows who live alone and don't know about things like this. Your remarks are out of line.
- MikeHuntleton replies to HomerI doubt seriously that was someone genuinely seeking help about being scammed. Even the elderly would have consulted family before a phone number discussion board or at least researched the insurance company they supposedly were scammed by.
Elderly scam victims isolated from people wouldn't be thinking "look up a number" to research it, they would be thinking of the company name on the post card and looking that up. They would also be more aware of "such things" if they had easy access to the internet. They certainly wouldn't be so gullible to just give out their info to complete strangers without a clue, then go look up the number they called.Quote:Especially widows who live alone and don't know about things like this.
Comprehension goes hand in hand with reading. Maybe try re-reading the post I replied to, then mine again and think about whats actually out of line. - Thats all? replies to HomerYou came to post about that- as your only concern about this number? Just (s)trolling through the threads, eh?
- J.s replies to MTI just received one called but no one answered or returns my call. Never had coverage with them
- n/a replies to MT| 1 replyA family member who has early stages of dementia had a post card by her phone. It is dated February 19, 2018. Scares me that she was going to call.
- Family is important replies to n/aThey have phones specifically for Dementia patients, might be a good idea to help prevent scammers from taking advantage.
- Smart Widow replies to HomerI got this also, first thing I thought of was SCAM! I am now on the computer checking it out, glad to see all these responses confirming my instincts.
- Laura replies to MTI received the same postcard. Why would my Mortgage company buy me a home warranty? And then not tell me. Sounds Sammy to me.
- Dthomas replies to MTJust received one in the mail today.
- MGMReceived card from this company. Scammers!!! Will report to my AG
- SBC from MIJust got a salmon colored card in the mail today...It was from AWG Home Warranty Division...I literally chuckled when I read the other side...It said, "This letter is to inform you that the property's warranty, at (and my address), "secured by National Cty Bk", may be getting ready to expire or may have already expired. And then it gives me a phone number to call (1-855-634-0483 By the way, area code 855 is a non-geographic area code, meaning that it is not associated with any particular city, state, province, or country. Area code 855 is a toll free number, that recently joined the list of 800, 888, 877, 866, and 844 toll-free numbers)
Well...first of all, my mortgage has been paid off for quite some time...so the house is NOT "secured" by National Cty Bk" or any other institution. It wasn't under "warranty", even when I DID have a mortgage...I've never had a property "warranty", so I'm hard pressed to make sense out of a non-existent warranty expiring. Boggles my mind how people like this send these things in the mail, and aren't punished for sucking in older people or those who don't have the mind-set to deal with this kind of message that provokes "fear".- Caller: Didn't call-mailed AWG Home Warranty Division
- Call type: Unwanted
- pantellercvd post card, but looks like they are changing numbers. now 855-634-0483.

- Hud replies to 8556340481Just recd one of these "Immediate Response" cards also--beware!!
- angry5-8-18 recvd this card today with 855-634-0483 as current phone number. My card also states the name of the mortgage holder company. I have been in my house since 1979 & have NEVER had a home warranty with anyone. THIS IS A SCAM. Have notified my credit union about this card & will discuss this with them when they do the call back-----I believe that your local COUNTY property tax office is releasing this information without my consent-check your local office!!!!
I am on a do not mail list, have removed myself from all mailings with all credit reporting agencies- they are not to put my name out for any type of business--only credit checks can be done when I make a job change or want to purchase another home or new car. I will contact my local BBB to find out if there is a federal govmnt group that would handle this scam--I am in Omaha NE- Caller: awg
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- confusedThe number has changed to 855-643-0483 My question is HOW to they know what bank it is???? Does the bank sell information? Do they steal the information from the bank? From the state you live in, the county, city? Where do the get the link?
