- Mike-in-MD replies to KimberlyIt's called Caller ID spoofing and scammers use it to trick people into believing they were called by their bank or credit card company, etc. Safest way to be sure is call the number on you card back and verify that they called and take care of the matter, even if the number that called matches the number on your card. However, if you do talk with the caller, just remember, they will not ask for your full CC number or SSN to "verify you" but may request the last 4 digits to ensure they are talking with the cardholder or authorized additional user.

- Caller: Credit one card
- qwerty replies to KimberlyThe point you're missing is that while it may be a completely legit number that you can call, it is also possible that scammers may be spoofing this number to call people to trick them into falling for some sort of scam.
- BigA replies to KimberlySo, just to be clear. This number is allegedly on the back of your card. So that could have been no doubt in your mind who it belonged to, yet you took the time to do a web search of the number? Now why would you do that? What reason could you possibly have had to search for something you say is clearly printed on a credit card?
Oh, and Credit One is well known for having some of the highest interest rates in the world because they give cards to anyone, regardless of their credit rating. So, no it is not an "awesome card or awesome customer service".
You have managed to convince me that any calls from this number should not be trusted. - allisonSusan, the robot, who knows all about my excellent credit history called my cell phone this morning asking me to press "9" to speak to a live representative to offer me something. Funny, she didn't offer me a number to press to get off her never ending call list.

- Caller: ??
- Call type: Unwanted
- B-Edwards replies to tickedTry to block and hope for the best. Best not to talk to these jerks, that just keeps your number in the call rotation. Screen calls on your CID and just ignore the calls from unknown names, unfamiliar area codes. Ignore and Block works, but it you have to be consistent, and it does take time.
