The usual credit cards scammers-Blocked.

Credit card Interest rate reduction Scam.  I decided to press 1 and talk to them.  Calls from India sweat shop operation.  I pretended to be interested and got transferred to the "closer". They said they were a Florida company. I asked what company they were registered as and what the street address was....I kept insisting that I always check out the company's rating before I do business with one....he finally hung up on me.

I just received a call from this # (855) 653-4481. And no one said anything they just hung up so I immediately blocked that number

I am getting calls to my cell phone from this phone number, claiming they are from VISA/Mastercard and have been monitoring my credit card use for six months and I am eligible for a 0% rate...
Apparently this number is also listed to call on a nasty pop-up on computers, too.

received a call from this number today... first recorded message says something like "this is not a solicitation.  We have been monitoring your Visa and Mastercard payments and you qualify for a 0% interest on your card.  Press 1 to process the offer".  Pressed 1 just to play the game.  A guy came on the line and asked me which card I would like 0% on...  I asked him which one...  me says Visa or Mastercard.. I asked which one... he repeats Visa or Mastercard. I said you called me... which one are you calling about.  At this point I think the guy caught on that I was messing with him so he says "F*** you!"  Yep... that's a legit company... good grief!

Credit card services scammer.

Robo caller used by a credit card scam. The number has been used for years in a PC threat virus scare pop-up window. Now it's been graduated to scam robocalls. Best to block it, or ignore it if you can.

I answered, they hung up.

Got to live person.  Told them that I saw they were scammers on 800notes.  Much bad language and a disconnect.  Guess I touched a nerve.

Same thing happened to me. No one spoke when I answered so I added the number to my call block list! Seeing all the comments here has helped confirm I did the right thing to block it.

Scammer pig- I hope he dies, called yesterday from another number.

This number calls and then hangs up when I answer.

GoogleVoice SPAMed these JackHoles from my old number from being forwarded to my new, out of state number

Doesn't do a bit of good to complain.  The FTC is so overwhelmed with complaints, that they are 2 years behind.  Because they are so far behind, by the time they get to your complaint, the spoofed number is actually now a real number and is being used both by a real person and by a scammer.

Good luck with that.  If you don't know the number and the caller id is mobile or a city / state name, don't bother answering it.

Comes up only as toll free call.  Blocked it.

Same here. These jokers called me on 12:27 P.M. CST on November 3, 2016. Glad I didn't answer them--especially when my Caller ID read "Toll Free Call." THAT should be a dead giveaway to ANYOE who receives a call from a number such as this.

Because the majority are overseas,  and they are too busy fighting real problems. It's just a minor annoyance. Block it and move on.
