Called and had a State listed on the Caller ID. I didn't pick up, but they were looking for my husband saying the same as all of you had said. No company given, just case number and phone number to call back and said it is a legal matter. I know personally we don't have any bad debt. Ignore these phone calls of people you do not know. They are grasping at straws to get your personal information to commit fraud. Thank you all for all of your comments, as it made me feel much better that I didn't answer the phone!

Just got a call from 855-705-0440. Told me I owe 1k for a check in Burlingame with Wells Fargo. Knew my last 4 of my social. Knew my old addresses. Scary. I told them I don’t owe any money. I hung up.

Thank you for your post. I got the same message to call 855-705-0440, it’s an important matter and etc... when I didn’t picked up it then calls me from 4 other similar phone numbers. This is absolutely annoying and aggravating AF! So I added them to my blocked number list but they are persistent!
