Same here, a recording was left on my daughters phone number, saying a complaint was filed against me.  I asked them for who they were trying to collect for, they wouldn't offer me any info. They left a number to call and reference #.  I told them they had the wrong # so that the 24 notice was not valid, and they didn't ask me for my current #, nor answer my question about how they got my daughters number. They said someone was sent to my house to serve me, when I told them I was not there, they put me on hold and said, yes they confirmed nobody was there to sign for the papers. They tried to get personal info on me, I told them they were scammers, they replied with, "we wouldn't jeopardize a multi million dollar business for a simple collection call or scam scheme, they said they would email me in 15 mins with a letter saying what they needed me to do do, and for me to give them my last 4 #'s on debit card to include on letter, as proof they were ligit.  I never got any letter.  They said they were with Glenmore Acquisitions.

Just got a call from them. I couldn't hear them I had bad reception. They must have called back because there was a message. Didn't state a firm name just her name...Rebecca and that some had filed a claim against me. I need to call within 24 hours with a file number if not they will be forced to make a decision. After reading these other comments I am not going to call.

I see you and your sock puppet "Vanessa" are here to claim that this outfit really does serve people and I am sure that after "Vanessa" calls them she will be back to claim how helpful they are and how they "saved" her from being sued.  Of course the problem with that is that we know for a fact it is a lie.

But you can redeem yourself by posting these simple facts that are not personally identifiable.
Give us the name and legal address of the the Plaintiff.  It is right there on the top of the papers you were allegedly served.  Give us the name, address, and Bar number of the attorney representing them.  It is probably at the bottom of the complaint.  Failure to provide that information proves that you are lying.  So, which is it "Connie Dallas"?  Truth or Consequences?

Its a FACT that REAL process servers DO NOT call before serving papers, so YES your a liar. Only scammers pretend to be a server and call to scare someone into paying, which is illegal.

As a side note, this outfit is not registered in any state.  That means that not only can they not legally conduct business, but they cannot legally sue anyone as well.  They are well known here to be debt scammers.  Anyone claiming they were "served" is a liar.

They list La Palma, CA on their website , but it doesn't say "INC" or "LLC" anywhere on their website either, Just Glenmore Acquisitions.

I also found several numbers reported about them here on 800notes:

Well I suppose it could be a sole proprietorship using a fictitious name.  But the use of illegal collection tactics, a virtual office, and shills to defend its actions simply scream that these are crooks.
A sole proprietorship means that if it gets sued, the owner's assets are at risk.  Not too many crooks want that to happen.

Now, you want to tell us

    1.  Name of Plaintiff

You can't object, since civil law cases are public record.

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.
