Called me and told me that a sheriff was gonna deliver paper to me that a had a civil sute filled against me. Gave me the Alliance Law Firm number 18557767025 and case # SF16-47882 and told me to call them to find out what the law sute was about and to make sure I was home to have the papers delivered the next day. I looked these people up and no law firm except in Egypt !!!! I called the number and was put on hold for about ten mins then I hung up !!!!! I do believe this is a scam just to get my info and money from me !! Be aware of this cause it's a scam!!!!!!!!

This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this,  all for an alleged or nonexistent debt.  One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying.  They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number.  Please note that process servers do not ever call ahead.  That way you can’t dodge them.

I did. the first number to call was 469-250-0745, with a case # and saying I owed 1100, but if I did 300, it would be dropped, and I wouldn't go to court. it then told me to call the 855-776-7025 number, and that it was the litigator's number. I don't have voicemail set up, so no one can leave messages.

I received a call from 469-250-0754 as well, in reference to an old "loan" I took out, saying the lender had been trying to get a hold of me for quite some time, and telling me to call the 855-776-7025 number, with a case #, my old address, and my military affiliation. After all this, and now your post, I know its a scam.

I received the same kind of call. same number, same "loan" situation, except I'm military, and I can't take out "Payday" loans. said I owed 1100 or so, and if I paid 300, it'd be expunged. otherwise, I'd have to go to court in another state. They used old information.

Just a call from both the numbers listed above the first number is a third party kind of a thing the person spoke so fast i couldn't understand her...marbles in the mouth kind of a thing which is the first tell that it is a scam. Called the second number and they answered the phone Alliance Group. Gave her the case number and she had no information stating I would have to talk with a litigator I said fine she said confirm the last four digits of your social I said no I won't you tell me the last four digits she rattled it off and although it was correct I wasn't about to be drawn in further so I told her it was incorrect...scammers are deceitful so why can't I be...she then said see there is nothing to worry about and I said I wasn't worried. The last time this happened about two weeks ago I told them to serve the papers and told them I have a great relationship with both the polcie department and the sheriffs department...which is true and they hung up. SF is not a legal code anywhere. Here in NC if it is a civil suit it is coded CVS ir it is a criminal suit it is coded CRS then the date backwards of the date of filing. Am I worried about these idiots no but there are elderly people out there that this stuff can give a heart attack to. I called the City of Raleigh Police department and will make a formal complaint there.

I too got the same call and in fishing around she furnished me with information such as my drivers license number, where I was working etc. Tried to settle over the phone with "Kimberly Washington" and my card was declined, thankfully. I never took a loan out with her "clients" Personal Cash advance". She too claimed it was originally 400.00 but with late fees etc it is now 1000.00 which could be settled out of court for 349.00. One time offer for today. So I guess I'll be getting a visit from the sherriff's department at work tomorrow who allegedly has my phone number so they can call me to find out where to meet?? Ugh. People need to stop scaring ppl, I thought I was getting evicted.A**holes.

My dad recieved this call for me... from Allegiance Law, same number, from Josh and he gave a case number and said I would be summons this week. When I called back, the girl said there is no Josh here, but wanted my social...I said no. Then she said i will see if the litigator will talk to you without it. She transfers me to Keith Johnson, he tells me it is for a payday loan from someplace called "Personal Cash Loans" I said nope. He said that the summons was set to go out on the 28th but if I wanted to take care of it now I could.  I asked for the address of his office he gives me an address in Lawrenceville GA. I looked it up...nothing, When i mentioned that I was searching the information he had just given me (because there are alot of scams out there) I suddenly got disconnected.  I checked the GA bar association...nothing and I even called the City of Lawrenceville GA and the lady checked her database and found no lawyer by that name nor is there an Allegiance Law firm.

Received a phone call at work was told to call 1-855-776-7025 and was given a case number, when I called they stated that I was suppose to be handed a summons but wouldn't give me anymore information. They wanted the last 4 numbers of my social security they said they needed it to confirm who I was. I didn't give it to them but thought the whole conversation was weird.

I apparently bought this: told to wait tomorrow from 9-4 to be served by the city from a firm in Ohio--by a "cop" they claimed--to my knowledge, county government does the serving, given I've been served, and have served a few people myself--who knows, maybe someone will show (I fell for this before: some weeks ago, the first time, however, was clearly bizarre and fairly easy to figure out was bogus: why anyone would go through all this time and trouble, who knows, although advertisers on this page probably appreciate it).
