Mid land credit company called me,800-265-8828, they wanted to make a deal over the phone but I was away from home and had no computer access in which they required, I told them I only wanted to deal thur the mail so after tons of crap they wanted me to call back by 7:30, so I agreed to that. I called back about 4 hours later and the conversation had barely started when dogs started going nuts in the back ground. At that point I immediately ended the call. Why did she not tell me I was on a recorded line? Why was I not put thur to the person that told me to call back directly ? Things just did not seem right to me. There should not of been a problem doing things by mail.,,, Covid 19 scam or what ?  And they were all foreigners ,, Where is that recorded line ? Not to professional

Now see this is where the ability to read comes in handy.  You could have read the other posts and found the many ones in this thread that told you how to handle this.  Instead you leave here as clueless as you arrived.

Just received a call from this company looking for someone I've never even heard of and I've worked here for nine years!

Received a call from Midland Credit Managemt. Their phone line was full of static and I could barely hear the woman who was calling. She called me “ Ruth”. I have no idea who Ruth is. I asked what this was about. And she said that I owed Community Bank $300, which was overdue.
I have never heard of that bank, so I don’t know why she called me!  I will block their phone number, as they have no reason to call me.

Caller wanted Ms. Davenport. No Ms. Davenport, here.

Got a call from this number. but had no message so I looked here to see what's up with it.  Yes, it's Midland Credit Management and I spoke to Kelly who was very pleasant.  They were trying to track down an individual with the same name but born in '62 who had become delinquent in their payments.  Since there is a small enclave of people with the same last name here, I can understand their desire to be as thorough as possible in finding the owner of this delinquent account.  I should not get a call from them again.

Called (again) yesterday, while I was out. (No message.) Still no Ms. Davenport, here!

They keep calling. I keep telling them there is no April Davenport, here!

As of Sept 2020, Midland Credit Management is once again a subject of complaint originating from the US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/news ... al-group-et-al/ .

I have NO DEBT WHATSOEVER. They call.They don’t leave messages. Call at random times throughout the day.

Problem easily solved.  What to do and how to do it has been posted in this thread multiple times.
