rec'd a called yesterday on my cell phone, guy said it was a survey, asked about voting, economy in canada, would i be voting, what financial bracket i was in, my age and postal code, i completed the said survey and they asked if i wanted to do focus groups for pay in the future, i have done focus groups and they are legit so i said yes and gave my email, asked for my name, did not give it...

are any of you on a dating site?  i have been "catfished" in past and wondering if there is any correlation, the catfish on dating sites are genius and i am currently speaking with someone new who has my phone number but we have not yet met, strange world we live in...

if they send me anything thru email i will get back and update the site beginning with "catfish"...

The telemarketer calling from this number claimed to be from a government office. I called the real offices from the government, and they said they have never call people for surveys. If you get a call from this number, don't answer and report the number.

Received called consistantly for at least 4 days, when I finally answered I was asked to answer a few market research questions. Said they were a national organization trying to get people's opinions on various services.  After being reluctant to participate I agreed and was told that the quota for my gender was just met.

survey reserch are alloyd to call. you have to ask them directly to errase your phone number from their lists.

Several calls from this number.  Finally answered.  Survey on behalf of a company I had dealt with.  No personal questions and seemed legitimate.  Surveyor identified her company as Illumina Research, which I googled and it seems legit.

They called my mobile phone (Virgin Mobile, Gatineau area) yesterday at 3:16 PM and today at 2:29 PM. I missed both calls. According to what I'm reading here, I added this number to my black list.

This number has been showing up on my call display for a while now. I finally answered this morning. I didnt catch the name, but they said they are doing a survey on Gaming & Alcohol in Alberta. I decided to play along. They asked for the first 3 letters/digits of my postal code and the year of my birth. He commented that it had been difficult to reach some younger individuals for this survey. Then the guy on the phone asked if there was a male in the house between the ages of 18 - 34. I said yes but was at work. He wanted to know when my husband would be home, so I told him 8pm. He told me today was the last day of their survey and the quota for female responses was full. Thanked me for my time and we ended the call.

Glad you were not scammed.
However, the bad guys keep a database of information.  You just added more information to their database.  A legitimate polling service, if they had quotas for males and females, would have asked the gender question first.

I agree with Slim. And also, I would leave my house and be with a friend for a while, if I were you. They know that a man isn't going to be in your house until 8pm. It's possible to track numbers to their locations, you know. That's dangerous.

They just keep calling.  Picked up once, stated they were doing a Survey, said no thank you and hung up

This call from a market research group. They don't leave any message. If some one answers their number, they ask questions then they sell info to other group.

Received 6 calls on Sunday. Answered once no one there for 10 seconds then a person answered and could not understand them. Computer generated calls I think. First call was at 8 am last call 10 pm
They just call on weekends

Harrassed by 855 790 4371 daily and sometimes more than once a day.  No listing for this number

obviously they don't just call on weekends.  I just got a call from this number.  It is Wednesday.

Same. Keep getting calls from these guys.  Each time I answer they Hang up. If I don't answer, they will keep it ringing until I block the call....but they will Keep trying nonstop until I answer.  

Sometimes I answer and I get "congratulations you have won a prize"

Called 3 days in a row always around 6:30 to 7pm.  No message left and I didn't answer.

Four calls from this number today alone, and this isn't the first I've heard from them!!  Why can't we find a way to stop the crap???

This number has called my cell phone three time in the past 24 hours (6:14 pm, 8:01pm, 4:17 pm). No message.
