I received a phone message from Kennedy Kline and Associates investigator Sandra Wilson. She left a message saying that there was a issue of warrant being issued to my local sherriff office for charges of fraudulence and also deceit, I asked what this is in regards to and she said it was for a payday loan placed in 2010. I have never ever done a payday loan before and did not know what that was, I asked them what account it was placed in and what the social was on the account and what company was used to make the payday loan. They told me they did not have this. I asked them for a verbal agreement with recorded authorization to do the payday loan. They told me again they do not have this. I told them I was not giving them a dime without proof that the acct was done by me.  they just kept arguing with me and saying that they will be sending the summons and warrant over to the sherriff office and that I will have all the info there in the summons. I hung up on them. Then I called an attorney friend of mine and they told me unless they have a signature of authorization and social and recorded authorization nothing is legal and it sounds like a scam. I called them back again and asked them for the address of the company they were at for Kennedy Kline and Associates and the lady said, I spoke to you already mam and told you that the sherriff office will be sending you what you need. I told her I just want the address because I was sending this to the fbi to check on. She got loud with me and told me that I needed to stop calling her or she would get me for harassment. I told her I was just trying to verify info and I have her on a recorded line and that I needed info. She told me that their address is confidential and that I was making her feel threatened and she would file harassment charges I told her that was fine and I was not getiing loud or threating her that I was only inquiring and the recorded info was here as proof. She then told me that courts would not use that in court. I told her that it is going to be up to my attorney to decide and that I was not harassing just inquiring if anyone is harassing it is them calling my family and job. I got hung up on after that. I called back again and told her I am sorry but our line must have had a bad connection cause the call dropped. They said no I hung up on you. I asked them why they wont provide me with info to have all of this resolved and she told me they had nothing and they will take me off the list. My debt will be forgiven to please not call back. Then hung up again. This is a scam. People be careful. They are trying to take advantage of innocent people who do not know any better. Please pass this along. I would hate to see people get caught by this trap.

I received 2 calls from this company that were 22 mins apart from each other. The first time they called, I did not answer, they left no message and instantly looked up the number and found this site. After finding this site, I added their number to my blacklist, so in that way, if or when they call back, it just goes straight to my voice mail. When they tried calling me back, they left a voice mail and it was a lady, who was talking pretty fast and could barely make out some of the names she stated due to her accent, but I believe that she said her name was Investigator Julie (could not make out her last name) and she was looking for a Yvette Schwartz (at least I think that is the last name she stated) in regards to some charges that were brought up in a Los Angeles court and I would have to contact them immediately to resolve these charges. For starters, I don't know anyone in L.A., and to top it off, I live on the opposite side of the country. Since I've been a little under the weather, I opted not to entertain their foolishness and will continue to keep them blocked on my phone.

Received a call from these people before and there was another on my answering machine from Dec. 30 regarding my sister in law.  The caller states her name and company name so quickly and seemingly close to the phone so that I cannot make out what she is saying.  After listening to the message a half dozen or so times, finally was able to decipher the phone number and the phrase "possible detention."  Sounded like she said the firm name was [unintelligible] & McMillan, Attorneys at Law.

They had me so flustered and scared I didn't know what else to do once I had my head straight and I could think I realized they just scammed me!! Received call this morning from 855-803-2349.  Male advised he was Investigator Carter with Kennedy-Klein.  He said he wanted to make me aware of pending criminal charges against me for Fraud and went on to say I could settle out of court.  When I asked him about the debt he gave me a company name I have never heard of; Impact Solutions.  He told me I had defaulted on a loan to this company and in doing so had committed Fraud.  When I questioned him about his involvement he first told me he was a litigator and said it was similiar to a legal aide.  I asked him for the name of one of the attorneys at Kennedy-Klein and he then told me he was a lawyer.  I said I thought you were a litigator/legal aide and he then said they are basically the same thing.  He quickly ended the conversation by saying I would be served papers on the matter.

I got a call today for my husband. It came from a different number, (855) 775-2417
But when I looked it up it goes to the same place Kennedy & Kline. She wouldn't talk to me just kept telling me that he would have to call her about this criminal matter. She really scared me.

Tired of these pests replies to trudy
"Officer/Investigator Carter" definitely has been around for awhile.  If you Google his name under collection scams you will find him showing up several times during past few years. Of course, as we all know, it is not his real name. Some refer to these pests as "pond scum".  However, I feel this is elevating them to a too high of a level.  I could think of many more appropriate adjectives, however they are not appropriate for a public forum.

I got a call from this number stating that I was involved in a criminal investigation (although they never mentioned my name) and they tried to get my social security number etc. I called the number back and said I don't know who you think you are looking for but it's not me and you need to stop calling my number. I was told it was a mistake and my number could be removed. My phone was new at the time and I couldn't find the number so I said I would call back with it and at that point he whispers to me "don't worry about it I don't think you will be called again your number came through an auto dialer" and he apologized to me. I knew it was a scam to begin with but be afraid of these calls. If you are really wanted or being investigated you will get a knock at the door not a ring on the phone.

I just got a call from a woman at (855) 775-2417 saying she was an investigator from Kennedy and cline regarding a loan that was taken out in 2010, and that if I didn't provide some sort of payment by 6pm (mind you it was 5:40 when they called) that the case wiuld go to the DAs office, it would have to be settled in court, and a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I told them I wanted to see documentation of this loan before I just provided them my banking information. she said "I am emailing it to you now, I am sure u have an iPhone or some smart phone where you could review the documents within the next five minutes", my response was there are no legal documents that anyone could read and fully understand within five minutes, and I was not going to provide my banking info to some stranger claiming I secured a loan from some company that I do not recall, despite the fact I would not secure a loan in that county, for that amount, during that period of my life. she then said fine so you are going to settle this in court and it will cost over $10,000 and rattled off at least three criminal charges that would be filed. I asked how much money would it take, she said $500, I said I would give $100, she said ok! I feel like such an idiot! after they hung up i immediately called the number back, of course i got a voice mail, so i looked up their info, and came across this, so immediately called my bank, who will file a dispute after the charge clears, which will b 3-5 days. who else do I notify, how can we track these loosers down? get their identities revealed and press fraud charges on their butts? any suggestions? how dare they call, threaten, lie, deciept, and steal from innocent people? can the phone company do anything?

Unfortunately you have been "scammed" by these fast talking vultures.  If you have given them your bank account information, they will make multiple attempts to debit your account over a period of days or weeks.  In my case, I ended up closing my account.  If you have given them your credit card/debit card information, you will have to dispute the charges. I am sorry this happened to you,but I certainly understand and sympathize.  These vultures sit in some dark, damp basement all day making multiple phone calls hoping to "score" a few victims each day.

Most if not all states have a statute of limitations (SOL).  Dependent upon your state of residence, this will most likely not exceed seven (7) years from the time you first defaulted on a loan. Contact the Attorney General's Office of your state to find out the SOL for your State.
