    I've been called too
I received a phone call from them as well so I asked for them to e-mail me something on letter head stating the amount I owe etc. surprisingly they did after the second time I asked. I live in MD and the address they had as my address where they supposedly sent numerous letters was in WI, lol, I've never been to WI let alone live there....these people are relentless, I'm waiting for the next phone call so I can tell them that they have the wrong address and that I've reported them.

I keep getting recorded calls from David Lewiston @ 616-988-9079 stating: I am named as a primary person of interest, given a case #,  also that this it is a official notice & I am given a option to either talk to a processor #9 (when I do that; it hangs me up) or call them back at 855-820-4240.  It is hard to confront someone; when they do not give you the chance.

Another boiler room/garage/basement group of losers trying to scam the elderly and stupid out of their money. Payday Loan scams are rampant. They pay next to nothing for a bunch of names from the previous scammers and do it all over again. I get a call about some bogus payday loan about every 6 months. It's always under a different name but they always seem to have a "Docket Number" or "Case File" and go by legitimate sounding names like "Global" or "Asset Recovery" or something.

I think our friend Eden has "Genovese syndrome" or a variant thereof.  See:

    http://learning.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/13/ ... ses-do-nothing/

Note that if we reported the call for her, it would sound something like this:

"Hello, I'm calling anyone who will listen to report a call that may or may not have been made, from a possibly fake or disposable telephone number, to someone I've never met before who posted anonymously on the Internet that the caller, if there was one, said, ..."

I don't think that would be particularly helpful.

Please, people, DON'T give these people any information. They are a fly by night group of shysters that somehow have got a list of people who either had a payday loan once or applied for one or whatever. They have no legal standing, aren't a legitimate debt collection agency, aren't licensed and will probably change their name a month from now, go away for a bit and then start calling again.
They violate about 3 FDCPA Laws just in their voice mails alone. Problem is they're not a legitimate so going after them will do no good. They are an LLC. Which is a gigantic red flag that this is some bozo or two or three who got a bunch of names from some other sleezeball group of criminals and is attempting to collect money from people they scare with veiled "law suits" and  whatnot. It's all a gigantic scam.
Here's their crappy website that they obviously made in about thirty seconds to give them what they feel is some sort of legitimacy:

To call it amateurish is an understatement.

They are calling me saying I owe a debt which I may owe someone but  I don't think it's them. My complaint is they are calling my phone and my friends phones saying I will have legal proceedings brought against me if I don't give them money now. I just want them to stop calling me!

Yeah I got a letter today too. My name keeps getting passed from one bogus payday loan "debt collector" to the next.
Never had a payday loan in my life yet every few months get a letter from one of these outfits and have to send them the same letter back time after time after time.
They have no intention of suing anyone. They want to scare people into paying up.
BTW, I love the Washington DC "address" and the Ohio area code for the fax number. And the gmail e-mail account. SCAM ALERT!!!

Just got the same call from David Lewiston.  Funny thing is they were trying to reach my husband's ex-wife who is in prison.  I recognized the number because they tried to scam my sister just last week.  Just sad!!!

How have the feds not shut this obvious scam operation down? It's unreal how many crooks and scam artists are out there doing this. The different addresses and area codes and silly vague website lead me to believe this little operation is not long for the world. A few calls to the CFPB and FTC and attorney generals of your state will get it done,

Got the same letter. It's a scam. 10 day notice to sue you but they give you 30 days to validate the debt? They're trying to look "legit" but are not.
Don't send or give them anything.

I have a letter from them and the fax number is different on the letter than the one on their "website". That's funny.
