- O FeedBe cautious. Caller stated she was calling from Merchant Services and needed to get information to lower fees. I asked what fees. She repeatedly said on your Merchant Statement from April - June. The more questions I asked the more vague the caller became. I explained we do not accept payment via CC. She was upset and wanted to know why I told her to call back. I had not spoken to her before t his very call. I suspect this company is just robocalling in hopes someone will provide them information.

- S ValueThis company is listed as Optix Merchant group, they claim to be calling from Merchant Services about an amount you were over charged in April. I asked that the caller tell me what account number he had for me he side stepped that question and several others I had. They are fishing for a copy of your statement, I told them I never conduct this type business with a random caller that they could email me information he said ok we can do that I said do you want my email he said we have it, I said what address do you have and he hung up.

- lgriffinll8"My name is Leo, I'm with merchant services billing and compliance. We're reaching out about an error on the merchant statement." In other words, completely vague and looking for suckers.

- MistyThe caller stated he was with Merchant Services and that we had been overcharged in April. When I questioned how we had been overcharged, he stated that rates had been increased but should not have increased for us. He did not explain why we would be excluded from a rate increase. He wanted me to pull statements from April to now. I asked who his parent company was because we do not have a vendor relationship with "Merchant Services". He became angry and stated that the Parent company was Optix and that they service thousands of CC Processing companies. I again stated that I had never heard of them and I would need to discuss this with my accountant. This is a total scam. If they are our processing company then there is NO reason why I would need to provide ANY financial information to them.

- AngieCaller wanted my Merchant Services statement, claimed they wanted to reimburse me for fees I was not supposed to be charged. Total scam, I gave them fake account numbers and "fee amounts", I hope they waste some of their time trying to look that up.

- karenJust got a call from a pushy person named Cindy claiming to be with Merchant Services and she is letting me know we have been overcharged on our statements and she was calling to get that corrected. She was very anxious to have me get the last stmt to go over the charges. I told her I would call her back once I looked at info and she was not happy but finally gave me the phone number 1-855-869-3905 x421. I called the number - there is no business name stated upon connecting. Researching, I find this number listed to an Optix Merchant Group - which is a solicitor or a scam. They do not represent our card processor. Avoid giving them information!

- KentSame experience as stated above. I asked a lot of questions and told the lady I didn’t know what she was wanting. She stated she would get a supervisor to try to explain further, as she didn’t have the information I was asking her about. Put me on hold for 4 minutes, no one answer3d. I hung up. Very fishy.

- annonyomusjust received a phone message from a Timothy stating that we were over over charged on our credit card statement in october and to call him back to discuss. didn't call him back because it was a fishing phone call and reported it to our credit card processor, and they said they have received multiple calls about getting calls like this
- DTCID: 800 Service, but it’s Optix Merchant Group - VERY strange call. "Deb" rattled off a bunch of stuff about us being overcharged on recent statements and the fees we're paying but shouldn't pay, wanted me to read off the fees from my last statement. I told her I wasn't going to read anything to her, that she should tell me what specific fees she was referring to and I'd tell her if we'd been charged for that (but not the amount charged). She specifically mentioned a PCI fee that could be as high as $19.99 a month (we pay $6 a month) -- I didn't tell her what ours was. She spoke very quickly and I couldn't catch a lot of it. She said the fees were just going to go up and up and up, every October and April. She skirted around every question I had by going back to the fees would increase all the time. She said our type of business (RV repair) shouldn't be paying certain fees, that some of the usual fees were meant for retail places like Walmart and Walgreens.
I repeatedly told her I hadn't heard anything like this before and I wasn't going to give out any information to somebody from a company who cold called me and that I’ve never heard of. She intimated that they were more or less partnered with our merchant services provider but she didn't call them by name. She was trying to make me feel there was an urgency to this, going back time after time to the fees are increasing ... She wanted me to email or fax my statement; I had asked her several times exactly what company she was with and she only said “merchant services” and stressed each time that they work with merchant services providers across the country but never gave me her company’s actual name; I repeatedly asked her where I could verify that this was a legit call, and never got answer to that. So I told her to give me the email address (that way I could find out who they were); she said to send it to statements@optixmerchantgroup.com and "you can even put it ATTN: Deb if you want to." She said somebody would call me back within 48 hours about the overcharged fees.
So I hung up and called my merchant services provider and was told they don’t partner with anybody for that kind of thing, and NOT to send the statement.- Caller: Optix Merchant Group

- AngieStated they were from Merchant Services about a charge. I told her that we do not and have never taken credit cards in the 6 years we have been in business. This is at least the 4th call and I tell them the same thing every time: We have no merchant account and never have and to please quit calling.

- Business OwnerSame here. "Heather" from same phone number and same email address. I asked if they could give me my Merchant Services account number, and she said "We don't use that number"... hmmmm. She told me her extension was 402. When I call 855-869-3905 the recording does not state who they are. I called my Merchant Services and and asked about Optix, who TOLD ME it was a scam. I sent them nothing.
