Got the that same call here, once in the morning, once in the afternoon.

Moi je viens de recevoir le même appel, j'ai raccroché car je sais bien que c'est du harcèlement.

I received the exact message from officer Lang Smith from CRA informing me not to disregard the call or I can get my lawyer to call. CRA will never leave a message like this, they contact you by mail.

I've gotten a call from this number 3 times now. First was an actual person claiming to be from CRA but I legitimately could not understand him so I asked to speak with someone that I could understand and he hung up. The next two calls have been an automated recording saying that they are going to lien my assets and a bill collector will be coming to my house. It's obviously a scam because they are calling my work number so name or CRA account is attached to it and we have a po box so no address either! It still enrages me though!

My brother in law( french also,) just received phone call from this guy, same -same thing as you guys, threatning, the lawyer and everything, i called back, he hung up,,,and still he's leaving message ,unbeleivable

Just got the call. He said I or my lawyer should return his call as this is a very serious manner. He doesn't make his case when he calls it Revenue OF Canada.

Yes it is a scam police are aware of it but the #s are not traceable

I too received a call from this *****. I picked the phone and did not answer and let him say whatever he wanted and waited for him to disconnect.

Called many times today. Can't someone stop this harassment. Called a few days ago too.  Says their with CRA and want money. It is getting unbearable and a invasion of privacy to do this by calling my telephone. Please some legal department help us law-abiding citizens. Thanks.

"Officer" Ryan Smith phoned and left 2 harassing messages on my machine, demanding either i or my lawyer call him immediately because of tax fraud suspected. "Officer" lol

Today exactly  I got same experience.

I got the exact same message from the same phone number.  First clue was that he sounded east Indian but had a very common Canadian name.  God help him if he calls again.

Fraud call threating with legal action......get lost.

Yup me too. Received voicemail from 855-888-5923 saying he was Officer Ryan Smith ( with an definite Indian accent in a threatening way saying he was from the CRA and there was evidence of tax fraud ...  CRA doesn't even know the number he called because I just got it.  I will call CRA tomorrow and report as well!  I feel bad for anyone that falls for this and there's lots out there that will.

I received 2 messages from Officer Ryan Smith threatening that I was supspected of Tax fraud and not to dismiss the message, i called the number and asked who the message was for and the guy said is this miss So and So i said yes and they said an arrest warrant has been issued for me and i laughed and said for what and he hung up on me!

Thank you all for clarifying its a scam. I have had the same experience and the same messages. This people do not get tired! I have been receiving this kind of phone calls for months! It's so annoying. Thank you for explaining that CRA contacts you by mail only.

Same here. The guy has the same voice and accent as the one who tried to impersonate a Microsoft employee and asked for your Windows password a few months back!

same thing officer ryan smith treating voice mail and bad thing is you can not block these calls

I just received two messages from that number today. The fun part is that he doesn't mention me by name, so the only information that he has is my phone number.
