855-929-0176 is not a number registered to by or used by Apple. This is a phishing scam.

Got this exact WORD FOR WORD message July 13th!! Good thing I ignored it. The number that showed was 1-866-704-5497

Keep calling telling me not to use my device and to call 8559290176

I just received the same call:  “_ our server has detected some suspicious hacking activities on your Apple account please do not use your Apple devices until you speak with an Apple support representative please refrain using any financial activity on your devices in order to speak with an Apple support representative right now please press one or else call us back on toll-free number 1-855-929-0176 repeat it's 1-855-929-0176 thank you…”

It came from an 1-877-208-2009 #. I didn't hit 2 as they suggested, and then I went to research the 1-855-929-0176 and yes, very suspicious.

Exact same call. Except One day from ADT company the day before 2 other companies. Govt should behave to track them@8559291076 #

Calls from 8772333415 ADT, 8662380953 and 8772295581. Reported to 2 of these real companies. There #s being hacked and used. Shameful.

Robocaller claiming to be associated with Apple.  Appears to be a phishing attempt to get personal financial information.

Phishing scam with threat to not use devices - regarding Apple ID

back in the day you could not block your number on 800 xxx-xxx calls because the called party paid the fees to take call(s) not sure if call block is still that way on new 8xx numbers

Phone message states do not use my Apple device

Still the same old scam... going to call from my landline and give them a hard time, keep ‘em on the phone for a bit - love doing this with the Windows scam - turn off my internet and follow their instructions - after about ten minutes (acting computer incapable the whole time) they ask me to connect to a website - and of course I read the no internet message ... ;-)

You cannot block your number when calling a toll free number (800, 855, etc).
