Report them:

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

I received a call today and I have to admit, these people are good!  They sound so legit.  They spoke with such authority and had personal information of mine that honestly, I almost fell for it.  They said, Maam, did you know that you're facing federal charges for ordering a prescription on line that came from the Dominican Republic and that it's illegal to receive drugs from there?"   He goes on and on about how it will be 15 days before I see the judge and after that I would be incarcerated for 30 days and if I'm convicted I could face anywhere from 6 to 18 months in a federal prison.  I was really scared.
Then he asked me to send $1850 to have my charges dropped.

Then he proceeds to say that I need to call him back with a reference number and thereafter he would fax my certificate waiving my charges.  I have never been so scared in my life.  What I did was call my bank and briefed them on the nature of my having to send the money and they refused to.  They said that if I do not have a personal relationship with the person or business they will not send it.  This is because of so many scams going on, that they do not want to be liable.

I called the FBI, DEA and Federal Trade Commission and they all verified that it was a scam.

I would also report them to Eric Schneiderman, the AG of New York State. He is cracking down on two other rogue debt collectors in the Buffalo area:

NEW YORK – Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman today announced joint lawsuits with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) aiming to shut down two abusive debt collection rings operating in the Buffalo area and targeting consumers nationwide. According to the complaints, the two operations used threats and abusive language, including false threats that consumers would be arrested, to collect more than $45 million in supposed debts. The lawsuits were filed against Four Star Resolution, LLC and Vantage Point Services, LLC.

“Today’s action should make it clear that nobody is above the law, and when shady debt collectors engage in illegal and abusive business practices, they will be held accountable,” said Attorney General Schneiderman. “The use of threats, including the threat of arrest, to collect debts is unconscionable, and I am pleased to partner with the FTC to stand up for consumers against these bad actors.”

They not only are calling me. They called my dad, my ex husbands wife. For God's sake who are they. They said I'm being served through court in the county I live in for fraudulent charges.

Got calls twice today from this company Nigara Portfolio Solutions stating I owe debt from 2010. The person said his name Richard Morgan. He told me I have 24 hours to resolve this debt or it will be taken to civil court. I called the client that they said I owe to verified if the debt was accurate. The company showed I did not have outstanding balance. I believed this was scam to exhort money from people. Please be aware 855 546-9043.

I got the same thing and she did not answer the phone like a business would. She answered the phone the same way she answered it with you. I asked her what the call was about, as I have never heard of this company before. She said they are attempting to collect a debt I made through Check and cash on 3/2012. She couldn't give me actual dates. She did not give me her name. I told her that was incorrect because I never made a cash advance through check and cash in 2012! I was not even working to pay something like that back...i was a full time student at the time. She kept insisting that i make a payment of $1250.88 with her today! She said the own company sent me several letters and I never received any letters. She said they do not attempt help from them unless the owned company has tried to collect themselves! I told her I want proof of all the letters, dates, my signature on the cash advance, the acct number...etc...and she said I had it all already from the check and cash and I told her I didn't! I know for a fact I did not make any cash advances during that time and I do not owe a debt of $1250.88 to them! Then she just kept saying they have documents in their office saying other wise! I told her to send it to me and she asked for my email address which I gave her, and said she can only send me the court papers. I told her to email it to me along with all the proof of this transaction with all my personal information on it and the original contract for the cash advance. I still have not received an email from her yet! They i told her i could not hear everything she was saying because her phone was cutting out and she said it was not her phone because she was on a landline. I told her so was I! Then she just hung up on me!

I just received one of these calls. I guess they have been calling my father, and my place of business. Since I free lance I don't use an office. The message kept breaking up. it said I am being served within 24 hours and good luck to me. No other information. I tried calling back and got an answering machine saying leave a name and number. if this was real wouldn't I receive something in the mail from an attorney or a debt collector? I just don't understand this.

Niagara Portfolio keeps calling my parent's house. They called from 253-257-3734 and left a message to call them back at 855-546-9043. The email sent to an old account had 855-977-2166 to call them on. I never got a loan from the company in the email nor have I ever received any letter from this alleged company.

Any fool can create a website and make it look legitimate. When I looked at the website, everyone on the "team" had a different toll free number. Total crap. I tell these people that I've reported them to the FCC, the attorney general, and local authorities.

I got several calls they even sent me an email I never gave my email address to anyone.  How do I stop them from harassing me.  This is every day

They call me over 5 times a day for the past month telling me that they are sending a process server out to serve papers.  I asked them to please send me verification of debt through the mail but they said they only email it.  I'm sick of these calls,  They do not have any debt information for me and I do not owe a debt.

I got a call from Niagara Portfolio Solutions about a payday loan from 2012 from a company called Check Into Cash.  I have never heard of this company!  They told me that I would be served in 24-48 hours and that I would need two forms of identification when I was served.  When I told the woman on the phone about all of the negative online reviews, she proceeded to tell me that those are people who are paid to post negative thoughts about the company!

I found a website for them after I finally got a letter from them by e-mail. Still can't find them other than the link I was sent by e-mail or the company they say I owe.
