Like most of the other posts I supplied my phone number when getting an 'online' quote for life insurance. I had shopped around to a couple places and made the huge mistake of putting my phone number on the site linked with this number.

I wouldn't be posting here if it were one or two calls but it's not.. I answered the phone (during my business hours) and told them not to call me between the hours of 8-4, I then asked the man to call me back at 4:30 and I would speak to him then. He didn't callback until the next day, when again I requested to not be called while I was at work. They didn't call over the weekend but as of 8:00 am this morning I have received 7 calls from them. Which actually translates to one call an hour. I was planning on getting an insurance policy with them but now there is no way in hell I will. I feel harassed, not to mention they are calling my cell and wasting my minutes.

Random call to my cell phone. Didn't give out this number to any business. They just demon dial or pick for a list they bought under dubious circumstances, and they do not check the Do Not Call list.

Nice that a Matrix Direct dude comes up on the thread pleading innocence. Yeah, right.

Ya, I know what ya mean. I am almost to the point of ordering another MJ for one of my backup computers just so I have a private   line for things like jobs and so on. A line that the telescammers hopefully wont be calling. Its a pretty sad day when you have to have a ton of tech between you and the scammers just to live semi-peacefully...

Yup. Actually, I requested a quite from AAA on life insurance and thought I was going to either get it instantlhy on the screen or have it e-mailed to me. instead, I got a message that a salesman will be calling me. I got one on my home phone this morning and when I saw the call was on my cell phone and what time it was, I suspected it was them.

The next time they call, be a little rude yourself. More than likley, they have a way to put your phone number in their do not call system, And their computer system will not allow your phone number to be dialed from that office. But maybe the person you have got is too lazy to do that extra step, or they have in illusion that they might get in trouble bput because they should have been able to make the sale instead of removing a name. I work for a company that uses an autodialer and we are tolde if they ask to be taken off the list, do it. You're not going to sell them anyway.  So the next time they call, tell the person in an angry voice that you have told several people to take you off the list, you hav e their number on your caller ID and you are going to report it to the authorities. Chances are, that will scare the person on the phone a nd that person will  go in and remove your number.

They won't stop calling after I told them I was no longer interested.  And they would not shut up and listen to me while I was trying to speak.  VERY non-professional.  Like previous posts, I wanted a quote over the internet.

Same here, too.  Asked for an insurance quote via online - next thing I got "someone will contact you"...  I specified clearly that I do not want any phone calls.  Oh well, I don't answer any calls I don't recognize.

Are YOU really that pathetic that you believe what you just wrote. The people at Matrix Direct are employees of AIG, one of the largest companies in the world, so rest assured Mr. Angry, their employees are well compensated and the organization is not a scam. I don't work for them, but I am in insurance and they are legit. It's uneducated idiots like you, who start these foolish sites, claiming they understand the process of Life insurance when infact, I doubt you even understand how the concept of Life Insurance even works. YOU DO need to speak to a licensed agent to get an accurate quote, you CANNOT get anything legit from an online quoting system, there are just too many factors the Life companies look at.

    Another foolish rebuttle......

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A BALLPARK RATE. If I quote you $100/month and you don't disclose medications you take and it comes back as $200 a month, is that a ballpark rate? Idiot!

Think of this why you are at it.......... IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR, and you don't , unless you are a licensed agent, then what good is a ballpark rate.

    Fool......
