I just got a call from this number -- now I see it's Matrix Direct. I had asked for a quote on insurance a couple weeks ago.

There was a hang up when I answered. The last time they called they left a recorded message following up on my request. Maybe the recorded message doesn't want a live person answering.

I'm not complaining. They are persistent with their follow-up, but then, I haven't said no to them yet.  I'm still thinking about the insurance quote.

I already have one life insurance policy from them, and found them to be good to do business with. I find it interesting that in the drop down list for posting Call Type, there's no category for "Sales followup."

This was about Credit Cards. 3 calls by 3pm in one day. Told the live person to take my name off 3 times and he threaten to call me every hour.

I just read the absolute WRONG thing to do if you would no longer like to be called from ANY business. DO NOT get rude. Ask very nicely to be put on the Do Not Call List. 99% of the time they will comply immediately.

Get an attitude and you may "accidentally" be left on the list!!! (Human nature folks...)

I fell for the Insurance Quote thing too through the NRA.  I should have KNOWN since the NRA sells your name and address to every damned mailing list in the world, so now it's phones too!  I got an OUTRAGEOUSLY high quote, and today, on both my cell phone, my FIRST EVER spam call, and IMMEDIATELY during the SAME call, my business line rang with the SAME caller ID!  Both calls, when answered, were NOT responded to at all.  JERKS.
I have NEVER gotten a spam call on my cell phone; but now I expect I'll get them every damn day!  I absolutely DESPISE telemarketing - and the people who do it, TYPICALLY become rude from getting rude responses, so I TRY to be civil to get removed - but it's tough.
I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER ... the NRA can REALLY screw up your junk mail issues, and now it's phone too?

I just called Matrix Direct ... had to go through the computer junk that ALL companies use.  Selected the "Customer Service" (# 4) option and spoke to a young lady who assured me that the calls will stop, AND also that they will not/do not share the numbers.  When I gave her my cell phone number, she (her computer) already had the business line that she asked if I wanted removed too.
So, we'll see if "niceness" works, but I am optomistic.
I'll report back if calls continue, or other ones evolve.  I'll know because my cell has NEVER been spammed before.
In any event, THIS company SEEMS to be legit and acceptable to courteous requests.

Most of the trash working in this boiler room are convicted felons, crack addicts, and other low-lifes.  Remember this before you answer the phone or even think about doing business with anonymous callers.

Got a call from this number. They did not tell me things clearly when asked why they are calling. I do not give out my cell phone number so easily out. So I was surprized that the lady hung up on me. I am sure it was a telemarketer.  Irritating when you get a call in the morning on a holiday. These people are ruthless and hairy brained. There should be a way to counter these morons. Caller ID showed the number but name came up as "unknown".
