- me replies to sstein| 1 reply"I am disabled with Multiple Sclerosois; however, for twenty three years before my disability forced me to retire"
-This is a terrible thing to have happen but unfortunately it has nothing to sue with the fact that you were behind on a bill -
"Today I called and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor; the receptionist was very pleasant, but the collector who has been calling got on the phone instead, and refused to speak to me unless I wanted to make arrangements to pay. I said I wanted to speak to a manager; he said 'It's never going to happen, we'll just sue you." Then he hung up. "
- there is nothing against the law about this, so I dont really understand what you will report and what your class action suit will include - me replies to sneakythey will keep calling as long as they believe you can get a msg to the person they are calling for
- Sara replies to LorerniaI just had the same thing happen 2 times in the past hour. The people at this number are rude!!! I was assured after the first call that I was not the individual intended to receive the call and that they would stop. Received another one an hour later and this individual said there was no record of the earlier call. Like I had made it up!!! When I got a little testy with him he hung up on me.
Hope your problems have stopped! - Phx3Ponies replies to cj85Exactly CJ: I resemble that situation too, from Platinum into the toilet. Divorce got me nothing, no work in my field, fast-tracking college for new degree, only found perm PT (4-20 hrs) wk. NOTHING FROM NOTHING IS STILL ZIP ZERO ZILCH. There is nothing to talk about, cannot agree to any payment plan without first knowing what $ if any is coming in each month. Unable to verify steady income, no deal. After the utilities and fuel get paid, gratefully there's the food bank & church to help close the gap.
- sue replies to BillyYes you have I have taped recorded conversations
- Disgruntled replies to Alfalfa, get your facts straightI received a call from the office of Larry Roach on September 9, 2009. They were looking for a family member who doesnt even live in my house. How did they get my number? I didnt tell them anything because she, Kathy, would not tell me what the call was in refernce too. Point is, The Law Office of Larry Roach is still alive and kicking.
- Barby82Got a call from the Law offices of Larry Roach today at my DAD's! They did not leave what the call is about, but that I need to call them asap. Sure I will :)
- Call type: Debt collector
- anThey call my house and left message for my husband's cousin who never lived at our house or we barely see, very weird. It's like they fish for any relations to this person and call them pretending they dialed the right number, very shameful by trying to embarrass.
- Caller: Law offices of Larry Roach
- Former Julie Employee replies to Alfalfa, get your facts straightAmen to that comment, although I hear they are still open ... what a shame that is, for now.
- Caveman| 1 replyThey call a few time every few months. We don't owe any money for anything, we are in the black and have been for a long time. I do not believe that this is even a legitimate collection company, but a phishing SCAM.
- Caller: Mike from the Law Offices of Larry Roche
- Call type: Debt collector
- Samthey are calling my inlaws! wtf? im going to call but what is this crap?
- Used replies to stop it| 3 repliesI realize the original post is old, and can only hope that "Stop It" may see this.
You are pompous. Not every one of these call are valid or legal. Has misfortune of any kind EVER befell you? If not you must be living a life of privilege. I have been contacted by this office regarding an account that was taken out in my ex-husbands name using MY credit information WITHOUT my knowledge or permission. So, when he defaulted am I to be punished because HE failed to keep good faith?
When you can show the world a certificate of perfection, perhaps then you have the right to judge. - USED replies to CavemanThis is a law office everyone is referring to. It is not a collection agency but a hired representative of collection agencies ( CACV aka CACH LLC). They use the threats to coerce people and frighten those without legal knowledge. The best defense is to arm yourself with knowledge of the laws in your state and perhaps those of Ohio where this office is based. 155 Montrose W. Avenue, Suite 200, Copley OH 44321 to be exact.
Amounts are inflated well beyond the value of the original debt and payment arrangements are not permitted, they say. Although they will claim that contacting the collection agency will reap being told to contact the law office it is feasible to work directly with the collection agency itself. Again, the best defense is knowing what you're talking about when they call.
If you truly are not the person for whom they're looking, inform them of such and that another call will prompt notification to BBB and possible harrassment charges (check local laws to ensure this step is viable). - EnoughHave been getting several calls from an unknown person until today, Today they identified themselvs as Law Offices of Larry Roach. Unknown to me I thought I'd check on the web to see who they are. Nice, I guess everyone just loves this guy. Anyway, wrong again Larry. Please get your facts straight. They don't even know who they are calling. Will tape any conversations, who knows maybe I will sue get rich.

- jabberListen Tax Payer; your assumption that the problem is that people don't pay bills because they simply refuse to is bogus. I don't usually comment on this issue. I have always paid my bills. Always. These scumbag neanderthals started calling my 78 year old father a few weeks ago about a debt that never even existed. We even looked through all of his records to see if he forgot something and possibly made a mistake somewhere. Not the case. So, they call back and I try to inform them that he owes absolutely nothing to anyone and worked all his life; and I get someone screaming in my ear. So what do you suggest Taxpayer? These people are beneath contempt. Understand; I believe everyone should pay off their debts; but this is insane. You can't harass people that don't actually owe a debt.
- Caller: Law office of Larry Roach
- jabber replies to Tax payerAnd for God's sake Taxpayer; learn how to spell! That really says something about you that you can't write a sentence.
