- SamiWe got a call from this number. It was Bell wanting us to call about our account with them.
- Caller: Bell Canada
- Claude| 2 repliesThe number is for Bell Canada Credit and Collections Department. They've been calling nearly every day since I fired their incompetent a**es as my telephone, mobile and Internet services provider, starting February 14th (12 days before the bill was due).
In some cases, calls would come in as many as 3 or 4 times a day.
What truly was insulting was the blatant disregard for my national language preference on my account. I would have to listen to a long, interminable, incomprehensible message in *French* when my language preference is English. If they pulled that on a Francophone, the entire country would fall apart!- Caller: Bell Canada

- BM| 1 replyThey call 5 or 6 times a day now since they failed to provide Internet Service for 30 consecutive days after a routine move order. I finally cancelled my contract and got Rogers Internet who came the next day and set us up immediately.
Bell billed me $1100.00 early termination fee for my contract and I refused to pay it since they were the ones in violation of the terms of the contract. Now they won't leave me alone and they refuse to admit culpability and dismiss the charges.
What happened to corporate accountability? Oh right... oxymoron.- Caller: Hell Canada

- Claude| 6 repliesOh it's definately the Bell Canada Credit and Collections Department.
Just a follow-up to my previous remarks about them calling. I have specifically told them that no representative of their company may contact me by telephone. I also told them, since they started collection action before (a) a copy of the bill had been received; and (b) the bill was due, that they would wait another day for payment until such time as they stopped calling.
And I was true to my word. They waited for two weeks after the final date while I sat on their money. I did this willfully.
Finally, when I was completely fed up with seeing their number and receiving their interminable and incomprehensible messages first in French and then in English, I decided it was time to tell them off.
And boy did I. In completely colourful, descriptive language. The first rep didn't even bother to take down the payment details. LOL. The second one wasn't so fortunate. Poor Kevin. I think he drank a bottle of antacid that day and had a good cry in the men's room. His poor supervisor was in about the same shape.
Collectors are master liars and manipulators who feel fully and completely justified in doing whatever it takes to get you to pay. They will use guilt, lies, harrassment, haranguing, and a whole bunch of other tactics.
Let me put it this way ... every tactic ... every annoyance ... every time he manipulated and squeezed someone came home to roost that day. From the first contact, I demanded a supervisor. I would answer none of his questions. I would accept none of his assertions. I called him a s**t-sucking weasel, a liar and a [***]. The air turned blue around me. The pressure was so bad his voice cracked at one point.
He tried to tell me his supervisor was in a meeting. I told him to put me on hold, unplug the headset and walk his fat a** down to that meeting room and haul that pig's face out of the donuts and on to the phone. I was not going away. He threatened to hang up and I told him he'd be out of his job by the next morning and I'd have his balls in a cup by the end of the the following day. He was literally caught. He told me the supervisor was in a Board meeting. I laughed at him!
He put me on hold. Five minutes later he came back. I asked if he was the supervisor. "No. It's Kevin. You know, the guy you've been calling names." I said, "Oh. You really are an incompetent a** aren't you? I said supervisor now put the idiot on the phone." He backpedaled telling me that the supervisor was on her way.
I said, "Get of the line, dummy. I don't want to talk to incompetent, powerless, (genital)-less mama's-boys like you. Put the (expletive) supervisor on the line."
When she came on, I also chewed her a new one. She tried all the tactics -- over-talking, trying to take control, interrupting, belligerence, rudeness, everything.
I told her I had already paid the (expletive) bill and the calls were to stop immediately. I threatened her, her manager and the Vice President of her division with conspiracy to commit a criminal offense and making annoying and harrassing phone calls. I told her that my P.I. could have her V.P.'s home phone number to me for a hundred bucks and if I had to call him it would be at 9 o'clock that night and her name and the other weasel's name would be mentioned.
Do you know what she threatened? Are you ready for this? You'll die laughing.
"Sir! I'm going to put a note in your file that you are very rude and belligerent!"
I shot back, "Write it on your a**, honey! Because tomorrow morning when he or she comes through their office door, it will be to call Personnel to have your sorry a** fired. The second phone call would be to whomever handles accounts to have my number ERASED from your computers. I told you incompetent j***-offs not to call me! So F***ING WELL DO IT!"
Funny. The usual two afternoon calls didn't come in that day.
And you have to know, when she went to work the next morning ... she had to have felt a little trickle of fear in her gut all that morning.
The point of the story is this. If they are in the wrong or haranging and harassing you -- DON'T STAND FOR IT. Grow a pair and treat them as bad or worse than they treat you. If they have the right to phone you and harrass you and lie to you and manipulate you and upset you -- you have just as much right -- ESPECIALLY when they are clearly in the wrong.
And it's even better AFTER you've paid them. The one question they wanted answered was the date the payment was made. I wouldn't give it to them. I would give them the confirmation number but not the date.
When asked why I wouldn't tell him, I replied to the weasel, "Because you want it too badly." He told me there was a field on his computer form that had to have a date. I told him, "Make something up! I don't care! It's your form and your problem!"
I'm sure the V.P. won't be amused by the letter I sent him either. LOL I just posted it this morning. It should reach his desk in about 5 days.- Caller: Bell Canada

- AmberI've been getting the same phone calls too, start off french and by the time they give the english version my answering machine runs out. They suspended my service November 1st and proceeded to charge me until the Jan-Feb bill when we told them in November to cancel our service. We owed $100 which turned into 3 mths service added (another $300) that we didn't have service. Then finally around end of December they sent us our confirmaton letter about the cancellation (almost 2 months late)! In January they sent a letter saying that we were refunded for the months of seervice charged that we didn't have, so yay back to the original $100!! Last month, February, we get a letter saying they are charging us $200 for cancelling our service. WTF!!! Everything started with the trying to talk to someone about charges/bill and being talked over, my husband got pissed cause they kept telling him that it was his fault it was suspended, no [***]!!! we know that, we wanted to know why we were being charged for service we don't have.

- g| 1 replyGot a call from them today-Aug.9. Cancelled service with them April 30 (over 3 months ago). They screwed up my final bill which should have been $150 and instead billed me for $550. They said that I hadn't returned my satelite receiver. I gave them the Purolator confirmation number and told them to take it up with them. In the meantime I refused to pay anything until my bill was corrected and I was issued a new one. They sent the next one for $250 and said they received one of my receiver's but not the other. I told them to check my account again because I only ever had one receiver. I refused to pay anything again until they fixed my bill. Now the collections is calling. They should put those losers in collection to work in customer service. That's an area they could actually use some help in.

- vic. They called, and the dumbass couldnt even speak english, and put me on hold, so I hung up. They sent me a final bill, which I paid, then they sent me a second final bill, charging me $160.00 cancellation, and the same day I got the bill there calling me about collections, they can kiss my ass, Ive had enough with the harrasing phone calls, and the useless service...... I argued with them for months about charges, and they did nothing for me, told me to pay or else..now after ive paid the stupid bill, they wont go away...
