Get your cell unlised and blocked and you will not be identified, then tell them your calling from some plce ese for someone else and tell them your not the person, and they have the wrong number, they say they will take you off The List. Yesterday I got one from 1 800 537 4714 - Unavailable-and it was diconnected that fast. I owe no one moneys as well.

- Jessica866-206-9797 has been calling me once or twice a day, including Saturdays, for the past few months. I don't have any outstanding debt besides student loans (and I'm still in school) so my guess is that they are trying to get people to consolidate through them.
- Rebeccaasked if the address they gave me over the phone was correct...and if the last digit of my social security was-----course i would not give them any correct information...
- Caller: unknown
- Just SomeoneI keep getting calls from this # and will not leave a message. I finally answered one day and nobody would respond back

- Luke| 1 replyThey call my home several times a day, although they have been asked not to and placed on the do not call list. Very bad business and will take this to whatever level I need to to clear it up. I owe no one a penny anymore. I don't know why they bother.
- ChetI receive at least two calls a day from this number. I'm almost certain that it a collection agency calling about an old debt. Other old debts are also coming back to haunt me. By old debt, I'm talking about a debt that was taken off of my credit record long ago because of the seven year statute of limitation.

- MikeeeThey called and asked for me.. They gave me an address that was incorrect - same town but wrong street address. Then they wanted me to give them the last 4 of my social security number - I told them no! They said that they had an urgent business matter that they wanted to discuss with me but need to confirm my ssn - I told them NO and hung up. Then I used my caller ID to call them back. They gave me the wrong street address again. Then she asked for my ssn and I wouldn't give it to her, so she asked me if I added the last 4 digits of my ssn together equaled a certain number - when I added mine up it was a different number. So she said that they would take my number off their list - that they have the wrong person.
- granny of 3Wolpoff & Abramson are collection attorneys and are on Bud Hibb's top TEN list of worst collection agencies who are making BILLIONS attempting to collect on time-barred debts:
http://budhibbs.com/debtcollectorpages/wolpoff_abramson.htm
And, Chet, it is ILLEGAL for a debt collector to attempt to collect on a time-barred debt:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/timebaralrt.shtm
I know this, because a family member who was being harassed by two bottom feeders (and their attorneys) stopped them cold, because he was able to prove that the debts that they were attempting to collect on were past our State's Statue of Limitations.
Send them a Cease Communications letter VIA certified mail and DEMAND that they validate the debt!
Good luck!- Caller: Wolpoff & Abramson

- GWC| 1 replyThey call everyday 3-4 times a day. My neighbors are also experiencing these same calls throughout the day. When I ask what this is regarding, they will say it's a finacial matter that can only be discussed with "said person". I've asked them several times to stop calling and we are on the "No call list".
- Caller: Resurgent and Recovery Financial Service
