They call frequently, the # has no ID, they do not leave a message.

I recieve calls 3 to 4 times a day. They do not leave messages and I, so happened, answered one afternoon and this man AND woman (almost like a good cop/bad cop scene) tried to do a number on me. I do not owe anyone anything and paid off my debts 1.5 years ago. I asked multiple times for them to stop calling me. Yesterday evening I got another call and this guy left a message saying "if you have sought an attorney, please have them reach me at #XYZ."

second call from 1-866-206-9797.  No voicemail left, nothing to identify who they are.  According the the other Call Details looks like they are some sort of collection agency.  I owe nothing, so thanks for the tip.  I'll know not to answer this call in the future.

Who does this # belong to. I'm on the national no call list.

It will take you to the National "Do Not Call" registry.  Follow the instructions to sign up and wait 31 days.  If Wolpoff & Abramson call again using the  866-206-9797 number after the 31 days are up, use the "File a Complaint" option to the link I provided above.  Wolpoff & Abramson are a firm that represents a collection agency on time-barred debts.  Once enough heat is applied to them from the legal channels, they change management under a new name, but it's still the same group of tele-debt collectors.  I've contacted one of my State Senators and he has already spoken with the Federal Trade Commission.  I'm suppose to get word back on whether or not I can petition Wolpoff & Abramson to appear in civil court in the State of Texas.  We're counting on the Interstate Commerce Act (0ld federal statute from 1887) to justify a hearing in Federal Court, which will take away the Maryland State Court influence and do away with the red tape on the appeals process.  I'll let you know how it goes.

Were you able to make them stop calling you? I am receiving calls at least 2-3 times a day, including weekends. I was told by "do not call registry" that they are only blocking marketing calls. This is the debt collection agency and eventhough you are not the person they are calling to (my case)and you tell them many times that you are not that person, they won't take your number off the list. Perphaps there is a way of filing the harassment complaint,but I don't know any. It has to be something to stop this happening. Well, I just stopped answering them and turn my phone off at the moment they call in.

I keep getting calls from this number day after day.  They never leave a message so I assume they are not a legitimate company.  I'd like for them to stop.

I've been getting at least 2 calls a day, everyday from this company Resurgent Capitol Service, LLP. P.O. Box 10497 Greenville, North Carolina 29603. I called the number back and the guy said he had the number listed as a do not call as of Feb. 19th. I told him I just received a call this morning and that they need to remove my number from their call list. He said he didn't know why I was getting called (they were looking for a Richard and had established that he wasn't at my number) and that he would forward the information to the IT department. I told him that I would be calling back because I'm sure to get a call from his company again this afternoon and that I would be filing a complaint with the FTC.

Calls 4 or 5 times...EVERY DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!

They call here too. As, with others, I call them back and and harass them as such.

What you calling here for? No, I wont' give you my number. None of your business who this is. Stop calling here jerk. On top of everything else, It costs them money when you call their 800 or 866 number. Good way to blow of steam and get a laugh. Try it you'll like it. :-)

I spoke once with "Do not call" registry, they told me that there is nothing they can do about this number, since it's belong to some debt collection agency. They only can stop harassment from the marketing numbers.
Let me know if it worked for you, because I'm still getting those calls day and night.

I answered it.  He said my name and said he may have good news for me and wanted to know if I still got mail at.... I hung up.  I could be a bill collector.

they call several times a day starting at 8:30 and continuing thru 9pm. Is there a time limit they should be under. No messages and no id. can you threaten them with a do not call registry?

They never leave a message, and I'm tired of them calling me, damn it.
