got a call this morning about a "formal complaint" made against me, when spoke to a rep they told me that the pay day loan was taken out in 2011.. told them thats funny cause I wasn't even 17 in 2011, and that I would be speaking to a lawyer and they told me they would see me in court,

There was a message stating that a "formal complaint" has been filed against me, and if I know of my whereabouts, I should call them immediately.  I clearly will *not* be calling them, ever.  Beware of this one.

I ignored the call and waited for a voicemail - "A formal Complaint has been issued against one ___________" and then a recording with a name and to contact them if I knew that person's whereabouts.  I didn't even know who the person was the recording listed, so I ignored.

Received a call saying they were looking for Jack Ward - no clue who that is.  Threatening that if I know where he is I need to call.  I think it must be a SCAM. Be careful!

Received call asking for information about my whereabouts and some threat about filing papers in local court. Definitely sounds like BS! 866-266-3520

This happened to me several years ago, and now again.  I've contacted Payday loans and they said I've never had any loans/history with them, and that they hear about this scam all the time.  Also did a credit check and have never defaulted on any loans.  These people should burn in hell!  Could FBI possibly help?

Total scam. Called family members then me saying a formal complaint was filed against me from a payday loan company. They had no information what so ever other than trying to get me to pay $620 so I wouldn't get served. Total scam. I have never taken a payday loan out in my life. Filed a formal complaint against them as well. Also have Lifelock so if they try anything I will know.

Automated message no details voice was off like slowed recording threatning court. Looks like alot were called past 2 days. Block them Scammers.

threatened my daughter with my arrest if she didn't call them and report my whereabouts. We live 1300 miles apart and I live less than 1 mile from the county complex they state are seeking my arrest

Just received the same message as everyone else.  They have a formal complaint and will file court papers.  They have also called my family members, including my 75 yr old father with a heart condition.  Scared him that I was going to be arrested. These people need to be stopped.

Called and asked for a person that I know. Said they have a formal complaint against them and for them to call them back. They gave me another number to call back on. 888-245-4908. Company name was CFS. Total scam! Told them it was illegal to call a third party for a debt collection and they hung up.

Same here, it's ridiculous. File a complaint with your state attorney generals office. I posted additional information that was in my call below.

They called me and I got a voicemail that they were about to file a formal complaint against me and said if you know the whereabouts to contact their number. They didn't mention a company name or anything, just a phone number. They called me last year with the same message, but I never called them back. So annoying! It must be a scam

I received one of these calls February 2nd and it was the same... recorded message stating a complaint had been made against one of our employees and that I should call if I know how to reach them. If they could not contact him they would be filing a suit against him.

Automated message asking for my sisters whereabouts because a formal complaint had been filed against her. Wanted me to call them back so they could file papers in the local County courthouse against her. Obviously a scam by the way the automated voices were and also this is the 2nd time I've gotten this call in the past 2 years. I called back the first time and got into an argument with the girl that answered the line because she had no legitimate business info when I started asking questions. Don't bother answering for this number.

Someone from this number has called and harassed me, and several family members of mine and wouldn't say what for. I called they said my case was sent to the county clerks office and asked for a docket number and they hung up on me. My family members keep getting harassed and think Ive done something wrong how do I stop these scammers from running my good name through the mud?

They left an automated message. Same as above calls.  They are also calling my relatives they can find. The entire message didn't record on my voicemail. I blocked them on my cell but as I said they are calling my relatives. Did not hear company name.
