It came from "Motor Vehicle Services" with my name, address, but no sender's address, car's model, year made, registration number. Then I feel something strange. I've just bought a car few months ago....  THIS IS A SCAM to GET YOUR $$.

SCAM :  I have received calls and mail from this source.  I arrived from Japan in June and did not own a car, but I had a pile of mail waiting for me at my home here.  Calls and mail have come from this source 866-226-8319 warning me that my car warranty is about to expire.  THIS IS A SCAM.  I cannot have a warranty on something I do not have.

I keep receiving correspondence re: a final notice for a car warranty from MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES--being that there is no return address or contact name I found this very suspicious. Last night I placed a call to the phone number and requested to be taken off the mailing list in response to my request a 'DIANE' said 'you are stupid'. I have never heard of a legitimate company calling what could be a potential client 'stupid'. 'DIANE' hung up the phone-I called back and reached the voice mail called again, asked who I was speaking to and 'DIANE' this time identified herself as 'CHRISTINA', point being this is a SCAM< SCAM< SCAM DO NOT SEND MONEY REPORT THESE LOW LIVES!!

***********NOT A SCAM**********Just to let you know i have had a warranty through this company for many years and made several claims and never had a problem. Ppl shouldn't be so quick to judge and actually listen to what they have to say. They have paid thousands and thousands of dollars worth of repairs on my Honda and I am very thankful that i wasn't so quick to judge and listened. NOT EVERYONE ON THIS PLANET TRIES TO SCAM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also received a letter from this company. But I have nothing but  positive things to say. I have a warranty through this company on several of my cars. They are legit !!!! They are also listed with the BBB. They are based out of Missouri. You guys just need to do a little more research and not belive everything you read on the internet.

I also agree with wp and smartshopper this company is legit.  I got a letter in the mail from them and called the toll free # on there.  The rep was very friendly and helpful to me in getting coverage on my GMC Envoy.  I had to have a new transmission put it last month, and when I called the rep who sold me the policy she walked me through the claims process and I didn't have to pay a dime.  I checked with the BBB before I bought this and they were right this company is legit.  Don't believe everything on the internet.

I received a letter in the mail and I have never heard from this company. So I thought I would Google the telephone number and this is what I found.  I am very upset that people just assume things without actually doing more investigation.  I checked out websites and with the BBB, they have A ratings with insurance companies and I don't understand how this is a scam.  I am purchasing a warranty with this company.  I feel very confident.  I think what the problem is, other scam companies give good companies bad names.

First of all, just because you had the option or made the decision to buy your warranty from the dealer, does not mean everyone else who owns a vehicle did.  Many people were not offered a warranty or simply chose not to buy one at that time.  These are the people who can take advantage of the warranty offers they recieve in the mail.  These letters clearly state "your warranty OFFER will expire on" whatever date, not your actual warranty.  It's no different than any other offer you get in the mail. I went to an accredited website to find out that this company is legit - it's called BBB and anyone wanting the truth should go there to research.

    not scammed
The phone number is given multiple times on the inside of the junk mail.  While it is addressed to a persn at a legit address, and has a bulk mail number/Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, it has no inside address nor return address.  It is a scam and will try to get you to dial their number so they can claim that it is fine to call you in the future, since they will have registered your incoming call.  DO NOT CALL that number ever!  Whether the company is listed with Better Business or not, they certainly do not know what kind of vehicle I own, nor if I ever owned one of the three makes listed on the front.

Actually, no. The mailing states : Notification that your dealership warranty is expiring or has expired.

To be honest I am getting these offers from several different companies. If you think about it, it is one great way to get money from us. We all should get one of there companies going. I am just kidding, but who would know.

I have to ask how talking to the Better Business Bureau can help you on this if you don't know who this company is.

When there are three consecutive shill messages posted on the same date even the most dim-witted consumer can see the light.  You're not fooling anyone.

As far as checking out websites, searching on "Motor Vehicle Services" produces a plethora of links to state departments.  Far too many to wade through looking for a needle in a haystack.  In this regard, the name of the company is well chosen.

I received this in the mail also, and was very suspicious of it because when I bought my car it had an extended warranty.  Well I called the number and they were showing that I had the extended warranty but only power train.  Well I decided to call the dealer I bought from and it was true I did only have power train which just covers engine and transmission.  I called the warranty company back and they were able to bumper to bumper coverage on the vehicle for me.  I was a little worried at first but once I done some research I felt better.
