- WestCoast replies to Guys, or girls as the case may be| 1 replyI agree, it's amazing how 3 posts backing up this company were all posted in a row and on the same day. Their "online ID" even says the name of the company!
Anytime someone calls you and says that "this offer is expiring today"...then they call you exactly 3 days lates stating that they talked to the supervisor and was able to extend the offer, then you convinced them to hold the offer for another 3 days, then you convinced them to cut their offer in half...you can't expect that to be legit. Especially when there's not even a valid website for their services! I'm not labeling this as a scam but you call it how you see it. Not to mention the number they call you from changes each time. - HB replies to doubledee75You are obviously more of an IDIOT than you think everyone else is who ends up here complaining of getting JUNK mail from YOUR company. Yeah that's right, YOU obviously work for them and are trying to convince others that "Motor Vehicle Services" is a reputable company. You survive on scamming others out of thier money! There is NO Website, just a phone number to respond to. Motor vehicle info is public knowledge and all someone has to do is request the info and then mail away! Dry up and blow away scammer!
Remember these two things; 1) The Golden Rule, 2) Karma - stillme replies to Me| 3 repliesI got the same letter from Motor Vehicle Services, FINAL NOTICE, for factory Warranty Expiration. This is a SCAM 100%. I have not research what the scams consist of, but don't want to call the 877-668-6744 # as they might charge you a ridiculos amount of $$$, so that probably how they get you!
- Guest2 replies to WestCoastwww.mvswarranty.com is the company website that I looked up.
- Keith Curtis replies to doubledee75I went to the BBB and found no listing of said company.
- littlerich357| 1 replyHere are some facts that anyone and everyone on this site should know. I got a letter from this company and decided to call to find out specifics about the company and what, if any, services they provide. I checked into resources and verified the following:
Name of Company: Motor Vehicle Services
Services Offered: 3rd Party, Vehicle Warranty Extensions/New Coverage
Location: 2700 Independence Square, West Plains, MO 65775
Length of time in Buisness: At least 5 yrs.
Listed With BBB: Yes, and in good standing
Associate with Dealership: No. This business targets individuals who either could not or chose not to buy warranty at time of vehicle purchase or had factory warranty still in effect.
Is it a Scam: No, legitimate business. Services are offered based on factory warranty expiration, which varies and is dependent on miles rather than date.
How they get your info: Dealerships, internet and consumer reporting.
I was suspicious of the letter when I recieved it so I decided the best thing to do would be to inquire and then verify the information I received. Although I chose not to purchase the warranty from them, I found it to be a legitimate company and NOT A SCAM. It is pointless to draw a conclusion based on opinions from people who don't take the time to check into it first. Like the letters or not, it is no different from any other offer you receive in the mail. Rather than get angry or upset about companies who are doing what they can, legally, to make a living and provide jobs for people, just throw the letter away and GET OVER IT!!! There are so many more important things in the world to worry about then getting junk mail. - DV in AZ replies to PLJust because you don't like getting junk mail offers does not mean that it is a scam. That would be like saying dealerships are all scams because i have no interest in buying a new car. What you think is a rip off vs. what the definition of a "scam" is, are different. They may be overpriced but that does not make it a scam. Unless you have actually been "scammed", you are just stating your opinion which if great, but it is just an opinion.
Has anyone on here actually been "scammed" by the company in question? I'm curious to see how many of the implications are from an actual experience. - thegreattan1This number has been calling my husband's cell LIKE CRAZY for the last 2 weeks or so asking for ME by name!! His name and his cell number is NOT on my loan or vehicle paperwork ANYWHERE so this is quite bizarre. The ONLY people that we even gave his cell number to on the planet was Capital One Bank when they INSISTED that they have a cell phone number to process our loan application for a used vehicle we were looking to buy!! THEY MUST HAVE SOLD HIS CELL NUMBER TO ALL KINDS OF PEOPLE CAUSE THESE SCAMMERS AREN'T THE ONLY ONES CALLING HIM NOW. I HAVE PROMPTLY MADE SURE THAT I AM OPTED OUT OF EVERY MANNER OF SOLICITATION FOR CAPITAL ONE BANK AND ALL ITS AFFILIATES!! The callers my husband spoke to claim to be from "PREMIER SERVICES" AND "PLATINUM SERVICES" if you corner them for a name. ONE EVEN HAD THE NERVE TO GET INDIGNANT WITH HIM!! He told 2 of them to put us on their DO NOT CALL LISTS last week and now I got this "FINAL NOTICE- FACTORY WARRANTY EXPIRATION" notice in the mail today asking me to call 1-877-668-6744. I looked it up cause I knew it was TOTALLY BOGUS and found this forum. See I just bought a car in early February that has as 90 day Limited Warranty which doesn't expire until May and I also purchased a 12K/12month Bumper To Bumper GM Warranty on the vehicle. I've received all my Bumper To Bumper paperwork from GM in the mail from Detroit right after I got the car. SO.....Why would I be getting anything stating that my warranty is due to expire a month earlier than even my Limited Dealership Warranty is actually due to expire???? HOPING THAT I DIDN'T READ MY PAPERWORK I'M GUESSING!! Our home number is an unpublished number and has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for the last 3 years and it is still currently on there(Just checked 5 minutes ago) so I haven't been getting solicitation calls on that number. I just put my husband's cell number on the National Do Not Call Registry because of this nonsense. I worked somewhere that scammed people into talking to them on the phone and then signed them up for warranties on their vehicles that they NEVER APPROVED. DO NOT CONTACT THESE PEOPLE OR YOU WILL BE SORRY!! AS ANY INTELLIGENT PERSON CAN SEE FROM JUST THIS BLOG....THIS IS A TOAL SCAM!! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO THOUGHT OTHERS WERE BEING PESSIMISTIC.....DON'T BE FOOLISH!! A FOOL AND HIS MONEY ARE SOON PARTED!! THE BBB JUST TELLS YOU IF THERE WERE ANY REPORTS AND DISPUTES AND IF THEY WERE RESOLVED. THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY AREN'T SCAMMING YOU AT ALL!! DON'T BE NAIVE!!

- EDMIf this is such a legit outfit, why don't they have their address on the mailing, a web site or legit phone associates? Smells like scam!
- KBI've been receiving these voicemails for months and today I received a letter from them. I drive a 20 year old car - whoever heard of a warranty lasting that long?
- jpatel replies to JackAttackEven I received a letter in mail saying that its an urgent notice that the dealership factory warranty on my vehicle is expiring and I need to take serious action.
- BubbaDo not answer these calls, do not return these calls, block the number if you can. Once they start calling you they will never stop. If you try to be nice and ask them to stop they will only call you more. I am sick of these people and am considering legal action to get them to stop the harassment.

- L8D8 replies to stillme| 1 replyAll of the information on the news about scamming warranty companies makes me think twice about the warranty I bought 6 months ago from Motor Vehicle Services. However, I try not to believe everything I hear so when my car broke down in the middle of the night 300 miles away from home, I immediately thought I was in big trouble. The Motor Vehicle Services corporate cell phone number was saved in my cell phone and I called them not knowing what to expect. I was shocked and relieved when a sales rep. answered and got me taken care of. I wrote this company a letter telling them how much I appreciate them and the service I received. All I have to ask is that you all please do not believe everything you hear (or read). This is a legitimate company and they are listed with the Better Business Bureau. Those of you that do not believe me, call them and they will treat you as nicely as I have been treated and give you any information you need to research them. I am now a life-long customer of theirs and I have referred many of my family members to them as well. Also - because I know it will come up - I DO NOT WORK THERE!!

- mp45 replies to heights| 1 replyIs it possible that there is a Diane and Christina that work there??? I mean honestly, people Im reading this and half the things you are saying do not even make sense!! Im not saying I agree with what this company does, but let's face it, folks there are alot of other things more important to worry about than a piece of mail I get. I throw them away. How difficult is that?
- Min60 replies to stillmeThat is not their phone number!
- BREI did not receive a phone call, but received a letter stating that my home warranty with an ID number is about to expire and to renew for 48 months call this number: 866-226-8319. I do not have a home warranty with this company and I am even in my house for 1 year, so my home warranty is not expiring on Sept 7, 2009.
Is there a place to report a mail scam? - tx1515I called the number after getting the same junk mail and they actually knew what kind of Jaguar I owned... public information I guess? Even though the car had just over 100k miles they were "able to approve" the Premium Plus package for the low low price of only $3275 for 5 years of coverage! If it were legit, they would definitely go broke. I mean c'mon, who out there thinks a 9 year old Jaguar... has 5 more years left??? They offered to call my dealership with me on the phone to verify who they are so now I'm really confused. When I wanted to check it out on the internet first, the saleman offered to take me to a website using my computer. He was very slick but I was still suspicious. When I hesitated about price he sent me to another department and I hung up. If they call back and start harrassing me I guess its my fault for calling them in the first place.
