Was scammed also for 35.95.  my bank wasn't helpful at first.  i check my online banking daily, and noticed this amt.  my bank put a stop pay on it, gave me a copy of the electronic check trying to clear(which was still in process).  the 866-273-4979 number was busy.  i typed the tn online to see if there were any other numbers available to call this company.  that's when this website came up.  after reading all of the comments, i immediately went to my bank giving them this information.  my bank closed my account and then refunded me all the money back to a new account, including stop pay fees.  I then filed police report and now in process of putting fraud alert on me and my husbands socials, and contacting the fbi.  my bank is also working with their security division to investigate.  after reading comments on ach's and fis i think that's  the link.  i don't do online payments but over the past 2 weeks have paid check by phone for both Litton Mortgage and Morgan Chase bank.  I work hard for what little i do have and it really angers me that i have no access to my new account for 24 hours.  I have $5 cash to my name right now.  I hope these people get caught.

I had $26.95 taken out from my acctount and made me overdrawn. The money was taken out on 8/26/10 as a check method and I don't use checks !!  That's cause I don't even use my debit  card, I
only get cash out in bank lobby. Someone help us....

Our bank is not Lake Trust it is a credit union. We switched our account. Like you they had my husbands name wrong address. After reading all that is posted I am sure it happen through Everhome morgage. This is nation wide,

I, too, pay my mortgage through Cenlar.  Had a draft of $35.95 on Aug. 30.  I just got off the phone with a representative from Cenlar and they assured me it didn't come from Cenlar....OKAY, so someone obviously has gotten a hold of our bank #'s.  So, really, report to FBI??

Yet another person scammed/hacked. Wasn't called, I happen to looked at my online checking account and noticed it. A false check withdraw of $26.95 back on 8/26. The address on the false check used the last 4 of my SSN as the address! Called the number several times, each time it was busy. Guessing it is always busy. Went to my bank to dispute it. They said unless I was able to talk to someone to get it cancelled then provide some kind of proof (an account or reference number) there was nothing they could do except close the account and open a new one. A huge pain in the backside to deal with. I won't go into details because sure you know has to be done.

i too have had 35.95 removed from my checking with right name wrong address. i too have my mortgage at cenlar. it was taken out august 20th too. thats the only bill i pay on line too i live in new hampshire

SECRET SERVICE:  COMPUTER VIRUS TO BLAME FOR JASON'S DELI THEFTS

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - Investigators believe credit and debit card thefts at the Jason's Deli on Ridgeway in Memphis are linked to a virus that infected computers at the restaurant.

"The computers received a virus that was unknown before this event," Special Agent Rick Harlow of the U.S. Secret Service said Tuesday. "It was a new variation of an older virus. No virus program that we ran against it found it."

Dozens of customers have reported in recent weeks that their credit or debit card numbers were stolen after being used at the restaurant.

Since word of the thefts began to spread, business has dropped by nearly 50 percent, according to store owner Kent Holt.

At a press conference held outside the restaurant, Harlow said investigators are still not sure how the virus infected computers there.

"It was not Jason's Deli's fault that this occurred," he said.

However, computers at the restaurant were connected to the internet. Harlow said investigators believe the virus and thefts originate from Russia.

"It's my understanding there have been reported cases in Seattle and San Francisco," he said.

Now that investigators believe they know how the thefts were carried out, Holt hopes his customers will return.

"We sincerely regret this has happened," he said. "We hope we will be able to regain your confidence and serve you again."

I'm from the SF Bay Area and just found out that a check cleared from the Goodman group, this is a total scam, the number was 1-866-273-4979. This is a total scam the bank processed the check and they will reimburse me. You should all open a fraud claim on your account and get reimbursed.

my mortgage is with everhome as well and i got hit by the goodman group on 8/23 for 35.95.

OMG I just had the same scam happen to me. Goodman Group $35.95 posted on 8/26 Customer Service # 866-273-4979.

I'm so upset!!!!!

i think some of these people do not have a mortgage company may be it originated by banks getting hit

My checking account was hit for $26.95 on 8/23/2010 by the Goodman Group. The Customer Service # 866-273-4979 has been busy on over a hundred tries. The name and state were correct, but the address and town were wrong.

I don't have any mortgage payments. The only automatic payment on that account goes to another account at the same bank.

I had to close the account to avoid any more loss.

My bank has started a fraud investigation.

Goodman Group also uses the number 866-273-4932 which was on my stolen account number. If you put in 886-273-4932 on this site, there are many others that posted about this scam

I was hit too.  I wonder if a virus or trojan captured my keystrokes on my computer at work and stole my info that way?  In Internet Explorer, I checked my "Trusted Sites" on the "Security" tab of Internet Options and found a site that I did not add called "majorleaguebaseball" so I removed it.  The links below mention how malware can be sneaky and add site into your Trusted Sites so they can't be detected by Virus scans, and how a Major League Baseball site may be spreading malware through web banners.  Does anyone else see any strange site added to your Trusted Sites list?

I think I may have gotten a virus or something after visiting some website for building plans on August 9th last month.  I'm not sure, but it may have been either CoolHousePlans, GaragePlans, JustGaragePlans, GaragePlans.hsh.  I left off the ".com" on the end of each name so nobody else accidentally clicks on them and get infected.

I, as well am with Everhome Mortgage, but having changed my bank account because of this 26.95 I will seek another method of payment with this company in order to avoid giving them my new account number.

Also hit me for 35.95 on Aug 26th. They had my husbands name , routing & accout no. but the address of someone else. with this number in the memo for customer service and all it does is a busy signal . Plus it was pay to the order of Goodman Group . I am so ticked about this .Someone needs to STOP THIS NOW!! LOOK HOW MANY OF US THEY HAVE HIT !!!

Our mortgage was recently sold to Everhome Mortgage.  22.45 was taken from our checking on 8/24 and the check was made out to GG, with Goodman on the back of the check.  The #1-866-273-4979 is always busy.  I will not make future payments online, but will use my banks online banking to pay my mortgage (from my new checking account)  Everhome has a lot of complaints online, especially with poor customer service and charging late fees even within the grace period.
