Got a call from a Jessica Smith saying she needed to discuss my repayment options for my federal student loans. Seemed odd to get a call like that so I googled it and found this page. Same name, reference number, and phone number to call back. Crazy that people can be low enough to want to scam people who are already in debt to their school. DO NOT BE FOOLED!

Same name and reference info, call "originated" in TN. Hope they can catch this scammer.

I wish I had thought to check here first. Same lady. Same reference number. Same message left on my voice mail. I actually did call, but gave nothing more than my first name  and stated my student loan had long since been paid off. The guy that answered apologized, stated my phone number would be removed, and did his best to rush me off the phone.

Plus the call originated from Arizona.

Voicemail from Jessica Smith did not address me by name. Said she wanted to discuss my federal student loans and repayment options. Asked I call back 866-304-9669 and gave a reference number of 099902. FRAUD!

Same call back number and reference number, but she said her name was Jessica Wilson.

Jessica Smith has been busy lately. Receive a call from her as well.

Same Jessica Smith about my supposed student loan & same reference # 099902.  A scammer!  475-882-1315 is the number the call came from, but she wanted me to call back at 866-304-9669.

Same as the other commentators, Jessica Smith calling about a Federal Loan repayment situation. Problem is I don't have a federal loan, and I'm a 50 year old who left college quite a while ago!

Same thing as everyone else. I do have student loans so I was questioning whether or not this was real. The number Jessica called me from was a NJ #.

Caller Jessica Smith from 1-866-304-9669 left vm stating she needed to discuss repayment options on a federal student loan (no one in the household has any student loans-we pay cash for college). SCAM all the way!

Same ‘person’ called me too, but from 760-935-1159 in Mammoth Lakes, CA. I didn’t call back as she had asked. I had a student loan through Chase 30+ years ago- not federal! Phooey! Anyone reading this, listen to FBI and don’t call back!

Same, left voicemail, saying jessica smith and to call back at 866-304-9669 ref 099902, i called my student loans directly and they said nothing changed and it is likely a scam or scheme to get money out of you.

Got the exact same call as one of the other reported: Caller claimed to be Jessica Smith saying that federal student loan programs have changed and I needed to call back to discuss repayment. Asked I call the 866-304-9669 and the reference # 099902.  (Same reference number was used on my call as well, and it wasn't a recorded call, as she stumbled across some of the words. I am on a couple student loans for my son, so glad I googled this phone number before calling her back!  I had a suspicion it was a fake call, because his student loan company sends a secure message.)
