Wowwwwwwwww im really head over hills about but i thought this was true so i cash the check but luckly i didnt use it so now im going to carry all the money back ASAP before the bank finds out that its a false check. I just wish i can keep the money and lock these scams up for the rest o there lives...Because thats going way to far to be playing with innocent people lives!!

i got a leeter today from c.p.l usa sayin i won 32,105$ numbr is 1-647-832-9921 i called the man t6old me i would have to call back tomorrow bs cause the agent is at an emergancy meeting so i decided to look it up an am i glad i did i knew it was a scam from the voice of the dude so i called my loacl police an turned n the letter i really do wish they would catch these people what happened to protect an serve we suppose to be able to count on our law enforcment and our goverment well how bout we do something bout these people stealin r trin to steal our money we work so hard for an to pay our goverment to protect us hello..........

There is a city in Delaware (which I am from) called Wilmington.  But I do agree with you about the check as I just one too.

Just got one today from Sability inc in Duluth GA please forgive my lack of understanding of this scam but what happens to the victim?

My check was from Wells Fargo for 2,500.00 with a promise of 50,000.00 total contact info is Mr John Elvis and James Oscar 1-877-661-1856 or info@sability.com...... Mrs Jean Garfield ( Chief Executive Oficer) however this dose not match the web site CEO. I will be taking this "check" to Wells Fargo tomorrow and find out what is going on. Will update.

I received one of these letters stating that my husband(recently deceased) had won $50,000.00 and enclosed a check for $3,850 to cover the UK taxes of $1,950.00.  The phone # to call is 866-542-5669.  The letter ws sent by Citi Financial - a Financial Express company at 111 N Bowman Road, Little Rock AR 72211. The check has Walgreens at the AR address on it and is payable through Northern Trust Bank / Du Page and it is dated 3/14/2012.

I got it yesterday and googled it today to find out what was going on.  I found this website and what I suspected is true - another scam.

How pathetic that people out here hit people when they are at their lowest. The only thing or person you can put your trust is in God. Unlike the letter I received today telling me I won a sweepstakes thru Walgreens, He is never too good to be true...if you think that ....just think..he provided the knowledge of Google and good people like you to shed the light on predators like this. People are hurting these days and pigs like this will have to pay a heavy price one of these days for their actions. They will have to explain themselves to God, just like Bernie Madoff, no money in the world is worth that! So BEWARE thieves.....your are now handed over to God for the pain your causing in peoples lives.   Thanks be to God for protecting me/ us  from such a lie....HIS truth always prevails! Your days are numbered!

This is the same exact letter I received today.  Any plans on taking it to the authorities?  If so, which authorities?

My husband and i are going through a hard time right now, and we almost believed this  until i started looking  for information on the internet. i thank God you  all are letting people know about these letters.

I got a letter yesterday aswell... and the check for $3,850  and 1950 were to be taken out for taxes... should I call the BBB and or the adress where the check is to? I have heard of these before and I am sicken at this since I hard the older people that dont have interview and dont know how to look it up fall for this... this sickness me aswell since we are all in need right now... and they do this and then scam people !. thank you for all coming forward and tell us what has happen!

Hi i also receive a check, yea and i call the number and ask a lot of question, i spoke to a kevin goodman, i also took the check to the bank for verification cause it has the JP MORGAN CHASE BANK LOGO on cause the bank also needs to know that these people are using there name in this scam, gave them the check plus the letter and have copies. than call this goodman guy back and told him that the check was deposit, to get his response he than reply that i would have to send him  the tax amount of 1,950.00 i said well you would have to wait till the check clears. i already knew that the check is fake but i have been trying to get information. cause this guy must have thought that i was gonna send him my hard earn cash. not in this lifetime. everyone should ask questions and trip them up.

just thank god that you did not cash the check because it would have cost you a lot more, a cash fake check and maybe jail time for someone elses scam or you would have to pay that money back. thank god you call your mom and made the right decision

I also called the guy on my letter and told him I deposit it, also told him that the check had to clear going with the flow, now his response is I have another check here that will arrive at your home by FedEx/UPS

This is why you must bring these checks to the bank and let them handle it because, now they will involve the FEDs and let's hope that these people get caught. Let the banks handle this cause it is federal.

No, the only way is to bring it to the bank and they can verify that these checks are fake. Bring the letter and get a copy for you of both.

Take it to the bank let them know that is fake and bring the letter with you, that you have receive it in the mail and that the caller wanted you to send X amount of cash.

I took it to the bank. It was verified that the check was a fake, and also they will get in touch with the bank they are using the logo for. This is a federal matter which the banks are able to handle.
