- madmommacalled this back. It's "Forghany law BC"...which, after research, is a bankruptcy attorney! Why in the hell would they be calling me?
- Caller: Forghany Law BC
- TIRED OF THEMJust called an hour ago, looking for someone.. Said his name was jeff foster but accent was so thick i couldnt understand him... Smh
- Caller: Forghany law GROUP
- Why?Called 3 times in the last 2 hours, dosnt ring very long and don't have a chance to answer it. I don't know who it is but it needs to stop
- Annoyed in VegasThey called 3 times today and 3 times yesterday. Rings a couple times then hangs up. No time to answer. Called back no answer. Not patient enough wait for someone I know I don't want to talk to.
- Caller: Forghany Law
- SimmerdownnowForghany Law is also a bill collector. Unlike most of them, they were very nice and instead of threatening you and demanding a lot of money at once, they will work with you. I can only afford 10 dollars a month but they were willing to accept that instead of being ugly about it. I actually had one company that told me to keep my money, they would just sue. Needless to say, I am more than willing to pay this bill off at an amount I can afford. If the hospital in question had been willing to work with me to begin with instead of telling me it wasn't good enough, that bill would have been payed off.
- Caller: Forghany Law
- Call type: Debt collector
- AllieCalled back. Company's name is "Forghany Law P.C." so I googled them.
http://www.forghanylaw.com/
They're apparently "bankruptcy/debt lawyers". Don't know why they're calling me besides the fact I signed up to get Financial Aid Forgiveness. The only thing I could think of how they got my number.
The guy was polite to me, I said I wanted to be put on the Do Not Call List, he insisted they were telemarketers. I told him I didn't have time to talk and to please put me on the DNCL. Very polite, but yea. I don't want to be bothered anymore lol.- Caller: Forghany Law P.C.
- Seriously? This number called my phone TEN times yesterday and an additional SIX times today. It rings three times, just enough time for me to get up and start walking toward the phone and they hang up. I finally got fed up, sat down next to the phone and waited. Sure enough, an hour later they called again. This time I answered on the second ring, and still NO ONE WAS THERE. So &*^%-ing fed up.
- ChrisReceived a call and they used my maiden name. Who are these people and are they legit or scammers? Couldn't understand the man at the other end, and I don't trust 800 numbers. If it's a real attorney's office why are you using an 800 number line?
- Caller: some law firm
- Not here any more! This man called for my daughter, without identifying himself, so I told him she doesn't live here. He hung up, But..... I saved the phone # in my phone and then put a "BLOCK" on it. Won't have to talk to him ever again,
- Caller: Didn't say
- MikeyThis number woke me up out of a sound sleep and only rang enough times to do just that, and No message was ever left. I can't stand calls like that, drives me nuts!
- Not Don NelsonCalls repeatedly asking for Don M. Nelson. Argues with me when I inform him Don Nelson does not live here. Have asked to be removed from their calling list.
- Caller: Didn't say

- Tamianth replies to margConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - DanielI received a call from 866-341-6530 at 10:53AM today, 10/22/15. I answered the telephone and said what I always must "This telephone call is recorded. Hello?" which I must say because my telephone line records all calls. Once I said that the call is recorded I heard a click, as they hung up. Because they have called and only hung up on me I am using my Panasonic Cordless telephone's Call Block feature. Now all calls from that telephone number are/will be blocked, so they will not bother me again.

- Fatboy| 7 replies866-341-6530 ## DEBT COLLECTOR ##
As others have mentioned, they're a debt collector. It's a legit number/company, so just decide if you owe any debts and if you want to be harassed about them so you feel like [***] and still can't afford to pay it right then. Their debt in question was legit, and I certainly owed it to the dumb mo**** fu***** that it originated from. I'm sure I'll get around to paying it off in about... 7yrs. :D The people with this agency were polite and kind to me when I spoke with them, but unfortunately they bought a debt from a company that I hope rots and they'll never see a dime from me in regards to it. Intentional debt on my part. Some companies just need to know where they can stick it when they can't treat their customers properly.- Call type: Debt collector
