    Sir,

I have been receiving similar, harassing phone calls from an individual at this number and "company," and I have NEVER HAD A CREDIT CARD.  He claimed I had an outstanding balance on a "Lowes Visa," and then asked me for my Social Security number.  When I told him I've never had a Lowes Visa, and hung up, he continued to call back, shouted at me on the phone, and threatened to call every night repeatedly until someone answers.  Does this sound like a legitimate business practice to you?

A friend came to me because I used to work for a debt collections agency; and, I know the FDCPA like the back of my hand.  Following these laws to the letter was a requirement of my job:  If I messed up, bye-bye job.  It is illegal to continually call a debtor more than one time per day once human contact and that contact had better be the debtor.  They can call every day, but must cease if the debtor answers the phone.  The only message they can leave on the debtor's phone is as follows:  This call is meant for (debtor's name) if you are not (debtor's name) do not listen to this message. If you continue to listen to this message, you agknowledge that you ARE (debtor's Name).  (Debtor's name) this is (collector's name) calling from (Collection agency's Name) Please return my call at (collection agency's number, collector's extention) regarding an important business matter. Thank you.  Anything else is in direct violation of the FDCPA ()fair debt collections Practices Act).  It is a FEDERAL LAW and any other message is illegal and can be prosecuted under that law.
These idiots don't even know what a mini Miranda is!!  They are supposed to say verbatim, after IDing the debtor: I need to inform you that this is an attempt to collect a debt.  Any information that you provide to us will be used for that purpose.  They are required by law to say this every single time that they talk to you!!  We were also required to say, "All my calls are monitored and or recorded for quality assurance."  Calls are recorded to make sure the collector is following the laws of the FDCPA.  My friend put the call on speaker and when the collector launched into her speel about the debt, I said, "Ever hear of the FDCPA or the mini-Miranda law?"  She stuttered something and hung up.
Get your crap together PBC or you will have lawsuits and fines from violations than you would care to think about.  You people are not the only people that ever held this job.  As long as I am able I will help my friend to call you on your bloopers... This could get costly; I'd strongly advise you to beef up your training before turning these bozos loose on an unsuspecting world!

You need to call a lawyer that specializes in enforcing the Fair DEbt Collections Act IMMEDIATELY!! And sue the pants off of them.  They can be found online or in the yellow pages.  This happened to me once, and I was not kidding when I told them to "bring it!"  I have had hand to hand combat training and they would have their choice: The ICU of the hospital, or the local funeral parlor.
I found a lawyer to sue them and I have never heard from them again.  Also report them to the FTC and your state District Attorney's Office.  Do not erase any of the calls that show up on your caller ID.  Debt collection calls are recorded and can be brought up as evildence AGAINST the collection agency.

Got several calls today from this number and they identified themselves as Chase Bank, calling from 866-353-1180. After a day of calls I took it and called Chase fraud department while the caller was on the phone and Chase identified it as a fraudulent call indeed. They ask for account numbers or tax ID to start with, and a real bank or credit card company will not do that. For what it's worth, I asked the guy the name of the company that was on his paycheck and he said "Zenta" then identified himself as "Jatim" with ID # 30349864. I'm sure all of that was fake, but the threat from these slime buckets is real, so if you get one of these, file a complaint with the FCC and let your bank or credit card company know right away.

Have you ever thought that the so called "debt" that they are calling us about has already been paid for?  I'm having the same issue with this collector, and the so-called "debt" they are calling about has been paid for for years.  I have proof also!  So before you start saying stupid nonsense..how about actually reading people's comments on here!

This number calls repeatedly on my cell phone and never leaves a message. I know they cannot be a legitimate bill collection agency as I don't give our my cell number when applying for credit.

I find this amusing, your sticking up for your company odiously... "We already have all your info, we don't need to call you to scam it out of you." and by the way, Please get the damn number right im tired of getting phone calls all the time where ppl are looking for someone i have never even herd of. and im sure as hell not paying you a dime. I dont owe anything to you or anyone else. So do me a favor, Stop talking trash to the ppl in the forum when clearly YOUR company isnt doing their job correctly and harassing the wrong people. And it might not be illegal to call on sundays, but its a common curtsy. Thanks!

I received a call from them the other day about a past due payment on an account from several years ago. They offered me a really good settlement, but the woman said her name was Ms.Lee and I couldnt help feeling unsure about its validity. I was about to call them back and say I could pay them but I'm glad I checked online first and saw the reviews. I went to the website that she offered me and it definitely wasn't a debt collector company, she said it was pbc.com which was just a site "pay by cash". The sketchy part about it is that they may be fraud but they had all of my previous info down and that definitely makes me feel unsafe. Hope someone stops them from stealing money from so many people if that really is the case.

Woman with foreign accent called.  The woman said that the call maybe recorded for quality and training purposes. I responded that I would than record the call also. She said she couldn't talk to me then. I asked to talk to her manager. After being put on hold for a while, she said the manager would not talk to me if I recorded the call.  When I questioned what she was calling about, she said she was with Chase Bank Financial concerning a debt.  I know for a fact that I'm NOT behind on my mortgage payments. I even checked online and called Chase Bank directly.   When talking to Chase Bank, they admitted that they do outsource their debt collection calls to Manila, Phillippines.

Tired of You! replies to Debt Collector
The Statute of Limitations to collect a debt in the state of Texas is 4 years .. Not 7!  If a debt can not be substantiated it can not legally be pursued anytime ... I get calls for people who are not me .. they tell me my number will be removed but it never is ...

If you contact someone by mail then they have the opportunity to respond in writing ... If you leave a message then they have the opportunity to respond ... if you are nice to people they tend to cooperate, but when you are rude and demanding and read your scripts and don't listen and hangup on people they tend to say FU
