How the heck did they get my cell number?  This is the first time i get unwanted call on my cell (not including occassional wrong number), as no one have this number but family and very close friends.

    Truly annoyed.

I received a call from this number and a man in a thick Indian? accent said the name of the company was Allied (something I couldn't understand), LLC. My guess is a solicitation.

Multiple calls.  No voice on the other end.  Found this on their web site.  As of this date, I am not sure if it works... may be a trap, but I'll let you know in a week. http://www.brgrs.com/brg_dncl.php to enter your phone number to be removed.

The government is harvesting working phone numbers.  Then they are being leaked to the spammers.  That is the only reason that I can think of that the government doesn't go after them.  I have filed a complaint against this number several times and it still doesn't stop.

I keep getting calls from them, and when i answer, they just hang up.  When i try to call them back, I get a recording telling me they are closed and to call back during normal business hours.  I have tried calling every hour on the hour from 8am until 9pm, which is the hours they list on the recording for monday through friday.  I live in texas, so at some point during those 13 hours surely they would have been open, but i just kept getting a recording.

As others stated, received a call from this number. Another way to block these calls is to program a contact in your phone as "SPAM". Then set the ringer to silent or if your phone has the option, set it to all calls directly to voicemail. Works like a charm. Only downside is that if they have numerous numbers, you'll have to program the new number.

They called numerous times. They do not leave a message. I am blocking them. Others posted that it is BRG Research. Some type of credit card scam.

There is a website for brg research with a request form to be put on their do not call list.  They explain why they are exempt from the Fed law.

Man asked to speak with HR concerning a benefits survey.  I advised that per company policy, studies and surveys must be submitted in writing and sent via standard mail.  He readily took down the mailing address and said Thank You.  (Most of these callers decline, because they must conduct their business either over the phone or by email.)  It's easy and a good way to separate the wheat from the chaff.

They've got you well trained to blow a whistle into the phone.
It's not a solution for anyone involved.
