I thought I would share my current experience with this company. First, it is not a telemarketing company, this number belongs to BRG Research and they don't sell or telemarket anything. Last October I was called and did some digging into the company. I foolishly found the owners personal phone number and called and yelled at him. First, you should know that this company is exempt from the Do Not Call List, because they are a registered market research company (I found the information on www.donotcall.gov click on "more information" then click on "information for business and read the 4th rule). I guess they go through audits to get their current exempt status. So legally they called me for what I then learned was a customer satisfaction survey for my bank. My bank hired this company to do customer research and therefore, they had the right to call me. In case you did not know, if you don't want your bank giving your information out, CALL YOUR BANK or place of business today and tell them you want your number removed from all surveys. Unfortunately, I did 2 things wrong that they are now suing me for and I'm probably going to lose:
    1. The owner's phone number was actually registered on the Do Not Call List and on some type of monitoring service that records all phone calls to his home and cell phone. BEWARE*** If you call him and insult him or threaten him, as others have suggested on here, it is being recorded***
    2. Regrettably, unlike what other people have written on here, they are not a telemarketing company, but a research company (they are registered online and on Utah's goverment site, you can look them up)

The only way for them to not call you is for you to pick up and say "please do not call me" if you don't pick up, they don't know that you don't want them to call you anymore. ALso, they have a link on their website that I now found out, which says WHERE YOU JUST CALLED, you click on the link and give them your phone number and they never call again.

I am now the recipient of a filed lawsuit from this company and the owner has on some recording the actual phone call we made to his house and obviously did not say the nicest things to him but I now find myself in a lot of trouble because believe it or not, his number is registered and all of his phone calls placed to his home in the state of Utah are being recorded. I guess Utah's law allows for recording without consent from the other party, or maybe he's gotten a few calls like mine. DO NOT CALL THEM as others have suggested on here, it will cost you dearly. I just didn't want to be called, I didn't mean to say the things I did, don't do what I did. Hopefully someone from his company reads this and knows that I am truly sorry, I was just frustrated that you called me. I now know that you are a research company and not a telemarketing company.

Went to the website to have my phone numbers removed, but this option seems to just be part of a scam. They require the phone number without spaces or dashes, per instructions posted on the web site:

"YOU MUST INCLUDE AREA CODE in order for it to be removed

    Example 80112345676
    No spaces or abbreviations."

Problem is, the number they shown is one number too many. With dashes it would end up being 801-123-45676, which is not a valid format. And, when attempting to enter a valid phone number, the result is a "File not found (404 error)" message.

Sure seems like total BS to me.

So you don't believe it actually is the " Do call me first list"? Just keep putting your phone numbers on it and keep complaining then.

    8/5/15:
Over the last two days I have received more than 8 calls (back to back to back) from BRG the phone number they leave on my voice mail is 866-821-3124.  When you call back they answer BRG and then immediately put you on hold and the keep transferring your call.  Today after 4 back to back calls a man by the name of Ed Rose left a voice mail stating "this is my only and final call to you to resolve this matter before a claim is filed" The phone number was blocked... and they referred to me by my maiden name, SO I KNOW THIS IS BS... I haven't used that name in YEARS.....  The lady that called yesterday and left a voicemail also said "this is my only and final call to you to resolve this matter before a claim is filed" - she recited by address by phone and said we know where you live.

You moron, I've worked in Market Research for 20 years. All market research companies are exempt from the federal do not call list. You're providing false information to the public. This is a legitimate research company, one of the few that lists all its managers and phone numbers, so that anyone can research them. MORON!

You are obviously lying. The do not file claims, they are a research company. I suggest you correct your post as they monitor this site for false claims and have successfully filed lawsuits against 2 people and were awarded big judgements. Do your research and stop lying. they don't file "claims" or any other BS you are claming on here, there are a research company who conduct research on behalf of banks and credit unions who hire them to call their customers. If you have a problem with them, CALL YOUR BANK and tell them you do not authorize them to give out your number to conduct research studies. You have been warned.

Utter nonsense. If you really were a defendant in a civil suit, then why the hell are you blathering and helping the plaintiff's case?

Oscar added some drama to that message didn't he? There is a BRG Collections agency called Bournview Recovery Group out of the Buffalo Bully NY area and a BBB report with an alert http://www.bbb.org/upstate-new-york/business- ... rg-ny-235976383

Web site gives an address in Western New York, known haven for criminal debt collectors:  http://www.bournviewrecoverygroup.info/contact.html
    BBB gives them a C+ with 13 complaints:  http://www.bbb.org/upstate-new-york/business- ... g-ny-235976383/
A search for a business registration under Bournview brings up no results in either Bizapedia or the New York Dept. of State.  This would preclude them from legally conducting business.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
