    Are you Serious?
Received the mail offer but the address is in Carmel, Indiana.  The postmark is from West Palm Beach, Florida.  They will fly you to any one of their time share locations.  That is the only destinations you can pick from.

I received this Birthday greeting today, I called Thrifty Rental Car, they said "it's bogus".  I live in Indiana, and this Travel Provider and road address & so forth are not in Carmel.
I am wondering if anyone recently rented a car through CARRENTALS.COM?? I did.

Ours is almost the same as yours.
Fist point of difference; It does not say US Airlines. It says, Flay a US Airline.  That could be any United States Based airline e.g. United, Delta, Airtran, US Airways, etc.

Ours came with a $75.00 Wal*Mart gift card offer.

Someone identified this as a Time Share promotion. That makes sense.

For the careful, you can sometimes get a cheap vacation if you are willing to listen to the time share presentation. Usually about 1 1/2 hours. My brother and sister-in-law have done it a couple of times. I'm a little more careless. I ended up buying one once and never ever used it. We lost it in a bankruptcy.  I did make payments for quite a while.

Timeshare telemarkter-  Here's the deal:  The income- and age-qualified addressee and their spouse/significant other, show up at the Indy location for a time share presentation.  Sit through the damned thing and receive the advertised goodies at the end.  (Try not to buy anything. Your chances of getting the accommodations and dates you desire are like hitting the lottery.  (When they ask for questions, tell them your work doesn't let you plan your vacations more than three weeks in advance and if the contract can't GUARANTEES that you get the dates and location you requested, it's NO SALE!  Make them show you where in the contract you'll get that guarantee.) Oh, don't plan on using the freebie air tickets on holidays or high-travel periods, these are not first-class, fly anytime tickets.  My advice: if you want some freebies, and can play mind-games with a presenter/salesperson AND their closer for about an hour and a-half WITHOUT BUYING ANYTHING, go for it.

Got the same offer in the mail today. It was actually addressed to my husband-same birthday greeting- and he, of course had to call and screw with them! So, he called and started asking questions. He asked them if they recorded their calls. "Martin" said no and my husband informed him that he was recording it. Martin hung up. My husband called back and talked to "Audrey" next. She would give up no more information than Martin and hung up on him after my husband told her we had researched this on the internet. Not sure what this is all about. Just thought it was a funny story.....so beware of stuff like this :) Have a great day! PS- the confirmation #, and seat # are the same as the one in the above post. Guess we'll see who gets there first :)

We got a card in the mail also but we actually went to the presentation. It was very low budget and sleezy presentation and when we said we never buy the same day as the presentation, they would not give us a business card and said their web site is only available to members. We were promised two ailine tickes, a week rental car and a $75 WalMart card. We left with a form to send to their company headquarters in Florida and supposedly will recive the promised "gifts". We aren't counting on it!Blessedly, the whole thing only took about 30 minutes.

I received this scam also.  I also live in Indy, Hamilton county in fact.  The correct zip code for that area is 46280.  Even though it is Hamilton County that areas mail comes from the Nora Post office 82nd street . I did call with no answer. But received a return call from a Florida number  727  399 5986. Thrifty knows nothing about it if you wish to call (1-888-400-8877) maybe if they get enough  thrifty members to call they may try and put a stop to it before they really can scam someone!!!!!!!!

All Points Accommodations (APA) deals in deceptive practices to sell their memberships.  The “come on” is to attend a presentation in return for two free airline tickets and car rental for two anywhere in the US.  Even though APA owns their own travel agency, after the presentation they give you a membership form from VIP travel.  VIP requires an upfront payment of $50.00 per person and their rules and restrictions handcuff anyone who has nothing to do but wait for VIP to make arrangements.  Effectively, a working person cannot use these tickets.  After a complaint to our sales person who claimed not to be aware of these problems with VIP, we were offered a $100.00 per person concession on our next flight cost booked through APA. Neither of these constitutes free airfare for two anywhere in the US.
After sitting through a presentation by Jay Rogers 513.206.3663, he conducted a one-on-one meeting to answer questions and clarify anything that we did not understand.  We explained that we do not need vacation packages, and our interest was saving on air fares.  I fly frequently for business and my wife and I fly to Florida regularly and to St.Maarten once per year (international flight).  Jay told us that we could save lots of money on international air fare and save money on non-discounted domestic airlines when we book through All Points Travel.
As a result, I tried to book both domestic and international flights through All Points Travel (APT) and was told that my only savings would be realized by not have to pay the $25.00 fee to talk to a live person by booking through APT, vs. calling an airline directly.  Sandra (of APT) told me that the only way I could save money was to book a package that consisted of airfare/room and car rental.
I called Jay and explained that he deceived us and I wanted my money back.  He told me that he would talk to the owner but has yet to make contact with me.  He left a lame message during a business day at my home number and refuses to call me on my cell phone as I requested.
Apparently, All Points Accommodations concentrates on setting up appointments in different cities with a mass mailing about the free airfare offer, and move to the next city when their campaign is over in the present city.
All Points Accommodations is an immoral scam and it cost me $5,995.00 to learn a bitter lesson about deceptive people.

I couldn't resist, so I called them. I asked how they got my information and then told them the next time they wanted to try to scam me, to please spell my name right. The operator said it wasn't a scam but a travel offer, and that I am very cynical, then hung up on me! Oooh, I love it!

Got the same thing.  My "happy birthday" tickets are on United with Thrifty car rental if I call in in 72 hours.  It is for All Points Travel  4670 Lenoir Ave South, Jacksonville Fl 32216.  Looks like they are branching out to Florida.  This address is a Courtyard Mariott.  I would say its a time share deal.  Oh by the way.  On the back it says "Certain restrictions may apply.  This promotion is not sponsored by or affiliated with United or Thrifty.  Call them up?  I don't think so!

I went to the scam today at the Marriott on Lenoir Rd. in Jacksonville.  We thought the presentation was low budget and sleazy and felt like they were throwing numbers up on the screen without any proof or credibility.  Anyone can tell you they can save you 1/2 the price of a hotel room or a fraction of a cost of a cruise.  I could tell it was all hype.   I told my husband that if we researched it ourselves, we could find just as good deals on cruises without paying a travel club.   We went for the free plane tickets but after reading other oeoples' posts, it  appears that no one has ever gotten any real plane tickets from this scam company.

Got the birthday post card.  Went to the 90 presentation.  They were selling membership to their "Travel Club" to get discount airline tickets and hotel accommodations.  Just for attending, hubby and I got a copy of a Registration Information form.  This is supposed to get our ticket form.  Hmmmm.  "Certain conditions and restrictions may apply." Hmmmmm.  And while attending, I answered one of their questions correctly so they gave us a 2 day/3 nigt stay at one of their resorts.  After reading the voucher, we have to send in a $50 deposit that may be refundable after we jump through 2 hoops, one of which may be aflame.  Things must be sent Certified and it's just not right so they can keep my Free airline tickets and 2day/3 night resort stay because it's all BS!
