we live in CO and my husband recieved a "Urgent Letter Express" in the mail with similar stuff people above have mentioned.  Coincidentally, his birthday is next month.  Looks like they are getting wise to us getting wiser.  They have no address to anything listed and they have no postmark--there is a fake looking one that says it's from Tampa though.  There are all kinds of fake stamps and initials on this thing to make it look "official."  They have added "This is not a timeshare" to their mailings now.  Apparently, if you call 1-877-280-2452 between certain times you can have a $100 retail certificate to either Target or WalMart and two round trip tix with Southwest or US Airways.  There's a little ticket inside made to look like a boarding pass and guess what seat we are sitting in?  You guessed it: 7-C!  On the back of this ticket it says: "This promotion is not sponsored by US Airways, Southwest Airlines, Wal-MArt or Target.  Retail Merchandise requires a $12.95 refundable processing fee"  It also says that travel is provided by Fun Planet which seems to have several different websites all over the place and the only thing I could discern was that they are in Seattle.  They look like a complete fraud.  Check out this message board from Frommers: http://www.frommers.com/community/forum.cfm/t ... lanet-vacations

Obviously, we are not calling for our "free" vacation!

I received a "Happy Birthday Donald" card (over a month before my birthday).  On the inside it had a United Airlines logo and the words "UNITED".  Basically, it said I would receive (at my requet) 2 comp roundtrip airfares to anywhere in the cont. USA .. AND .. a 7 day Thrifty car ental if I responded within 72 hours.
My wife did call the 1/866-396-3279 even though we believe you don't get ANYTHING for nothing!
She spoke with Audrey who said she was with ALL POINTS TRAVEL  promotions department out of Tampa,FL and they were doing a promotion in Jacksonville, FL.
Audrey advised that all we had to do was attend a 60-90 minute presentation at a specific Courtyard Marriott Hotel and she strongly reiterated that it was NOT a timeshare presentation; that we were under no obligation to buy anything.
My wife called back today and Audrey said they are a travel CLUB but she could not provide any information regarding the cost - that the presentation people are the ones who have that info (not the promotion dept).
We're planning to attend, but now having 2nd thoughts.

I wish something would be done to stop all this BS.
This is just another attempted robbery.
My elderly mother calls me at least once a month believing she has won a lottery! She has lost thousands to various scams. I can't stop her from wasting her money, and I don't know how to stop these scams.

This is another way to get you to spend your money with no recourse.  I did not call nor will I.  Please warn your older folks as they might think it is something that would be good to give to you.  You are better off securing your travel through a reputable company. This one moves waaaaaaay to much.  I read a lot of the posts, and mine is form St. Augustine, FL  Beware!!

Got one myself in the mail and I had to check on-line -- "Fly a US Airline" is the subject and sounds like the same 7-C boarding pass, same phone number to call.  Through All Points Travel, 5051 West Creek Road, Independence, OH.  Dontcha love scammers?

All Points Travel is now in St. Augustine and for my birthday they sent me a Carnival Cruise Travel Coupon that claims I have cabin number 07-C.
I plan to attend and leave my credit cards at home.  They say on the phone that I must have an annual income over $50,000 yet they are holding their presentation in a cheap hotel located next to the Outlet Mall exit on I-95.  The lady on the phone suggested that I have a vacation in St. Augustine, apparently unaware that I live here year round.  On the back of the Carnival coupon is what appears to be the address for All Points Travel but in fact it is the address of the hotel in St. Augustine where they are using the conference facilities ( 2465 State Route 16) .

Mine has two misspellings ("Congradulations!" and "Continetal USA." It's supposedly from TBS, 315 Lynn Dr., Sparta, TN 38583. Nice asterisk by the promise of their "complimentary airfare package..." kind of makes you wonder what you have to buy to get it. Oh, and they claim that this is "IN CELEBRATION OF OUR ANNIVERSARY" (caps theirs). Yeahhhh, right.

Got this in the mail - for my birthday.  It states that I won (2) complimentary roundtrip airfares to anywhere in the continental US.  I can "fly A US Airline".  I actually called to see what kind of scam it was, but to my disappointment, all lines were busy even though I called during their regular business hours.  I left a message, we'll see if they call back.  Oh, by the way, if i respond within 72 hours I will also get a free 7-day car rental from Thrifty.  Postmark Permit is from West Palm Beach, FL.  The supposed travel provider is All Points Travel in Twinsburg, OH.  I'd like to know the sender's address.  Keep you posted!

Got an unsolicited birthday mailing. "All Points Travel" and the address they used in the mailing is a Wingate By Wyndham hotel. This is not their permanent address and they just rent space for meetings there.

If I was the Wyndham CEO Stephen Holmes I'd be pissed. My first impression of Wyndham is of association with shady business practices.

What's the whole deal about "where" they are having their presentations?? Do you even KNOW what the meeting is about? or are you just in "assumption mode"...if I was the CEO of Wyndham hotels I would be pissed at you for calling my hotel "cheap"....my philosophy is never ASSUME....we all know what the meaning of that is....and by the way, I WENT to the presentation and it was very informative...great travel benefits....very professional....my wife and I joined up and they even have the name and number of the OWNERS of the travel club in my information portfolio, so if I need anything and something seems wrong, I can contact them directly....I like doing business with someone who is up front and straight foward like that.....you are complaining and haven't even EXPLORED the possiblility of going to the presentation.....sounds like you have never traveled in your life and never will....just sit there on your front porch and [***] a little more....

My husband are staying at the Wyngate Hotel right now. ( It's a nice hotel.) and we were invited to sit in on their meeting. The meeting was good. We didn't buy anything but we likrd what they said and they offered us a nice gift. I don't feel the way you do, sorry. It's actually something to consider.

We attended the presentation last week, were promised two cruise tickets and mailed in our registration form to the home office. We called and the manager stated that she received our registration and will be mailing our vouchers for the cruise this week...we understand that we have to pay the port taxes, but for about $100 pp for port taxes, not a bad deal. Thanks APA

First of all, this is not multi level marketing, I've been involved with those types of businesses before. This program is what it says it is, discount travel to where you want to go. My wife and I have been members for over 6 years and love it. would recommend to anyone...

My wife and I recieved the invitation and were skeptical about going, but after a week we decided to go. We went to the meeting at the Wingate off of 16 in St. Augustine. Very interesting idea for travel, we decided to get the plan and are excited about booking our trip in September.
