received a message from Mr Cole stating it was regarding collecting a debt.  Did not identify who he was calling for.  called from 208-629-0450 shows on the caller id as Kelly Bennett

Mr. Cole asked me to contact his office for an urget matter.  No other information other than to let me know it was an attempt to collect a debt.  The number showed up as a local MD number, but the return phone call was a 866 number.

It's a scam & yeah they do get around!  Just got a call from a "Mr. Coe" on my cell phone from Boston area code 857-362-8553.  Said he had a contact number re: a matter in their office and I needed to call back 866-421-4920.  Then he said he was required to inform me that this was "an attempt to collect event" and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.  I have no debt!.  DO NOT CALL HIM BACK!!!!

WOW, They're calling everyone in the nation!  I got a call yesterday.  Just like the rest of you, I live in Houston and the number was (surpirse, surprise) from Houston...and yes, I got Mr Cole too.

As others have said, Mr. Poe (or Mr. Pope) sure does get around.  He just called me from 813-644-8761 and left the same message everyone seems to have gotten, with instructions to call 866-421-4920.  I'm lucky enough to not (yet) have a single thing in my name - no credits cards, no cars, no student loans, no debt.  My phone is even on a prepaid plan!  Of course, the gentleman on the other end did not use my name, and did not directly reference what debt he was attempting to collect.  According to my carrier, I'm the first to have my telephone number since it was a part of a new block of numbers opened up for use.  I'm leaning towards scam, but it still gave me the heeby jeebies.

Same as above, uses local number for ID but gives 866-421-4920 as call back.  call from "mr. pope" about an "urgent matter".  No outstanding bills, so i ignored.

Same here.. Mr Poe(Pope?). Called from 2674436341 Philadelphia, PA   Same 866 callback number as everyone else got. Guessing it's a scam from all the posts.

Dang Mr. Pope sure is getting some good frequent flier miles this week, he's now in Florida 904-647-2676, called that number and it's dynamic recovery.  Like everybody else, I'm not late on anything.  It's probably past debt collection crap.  I get ERC calling about every three months saying I owe Verizon of NJ $600 bucks, but they won't send any proof of debt so screw 'em.  time to block the number.

called me from 408 area code.  same message, a mr. pope.  just scream at them and call them names.  then they will leave you alone.

Same as everyone else.  The number came up on my cell phone as 804-396-6905, and a "Ms. Bundy" left a number of 866-421-4920, saying urgent to call back, attempt to collect a debt.  Well I don't have one.  I think if any one has been online looking at payday loans or anything like that they get the numbers and try to extort money.  I don't owe anyone.  I wish there were ways we could stop all of the scam artists.  I just think its awful.

Same here except her name is Angela. She called looking for my girlfriend not me?????? How did you get my number I asked. She replied with are you family. I ignored the question and asked what this call was regarding. And said it was regarding her social security number?!?? She called from a local 313 # (Detroit metro) but left the 866-421-4920 #? Weird

mr. poe just called from a local #251-287-3019 left message did not indicate anyones name just said call 866-421-4920.

Mr. Po called me too. I feel so special. Same deal as everyone else. Caller ID showed a local number with the 866 number to call back. Did not ask for anyone in specific and did not identify the company making the call. I won't be calling back either.

Got a call from this number too, total scam, said I owed money to a payday loan, but when asked the specific date of the loan that I actually received it, couldn't identify the date and when I pressed on further to ask what the actual pay day loan website was, couldn't tell me whether it was a .com, .net or .org, total lie! watch out for this site, they are total scammers and need to be reported to the Attorney General.

Yah Ms. Craven called about a personal office matter attempt to collect a debt.  They used a local number to call me.  This is obviously a scam.

Well, it looks like "Mrs. Bundy" is not the most popular - she's the one who called me. She never said my name in her voicemail, usually someone will say, "This message is for..." (although that doesn't always mean it's legit either). Call came in via local number 914-363-7111 and she said it was an "important matter I am handling for my office." Vague enough? Did say it "was an attempt to collect a debt" but of course did not go any further than that and then left the 866-421-4920 to call back. Honestly, it's more annoying than anything. I used to get scared by these calls, I did have to file for bankruptcy almost 2 years ago, it's been discharged for more than a year now and I am doing well and I know I don't have any debts that need collecting. Thankfully for sites like this I realized I wasn't the only one being harrassed and that the calls weren't legit.

I got a call from a Mrs. Bundie.. I plan on calling her back and using the information you others have provided, confront her on this phone call.

I did call and confront them - they threatened me on the phone and have been reported . Then when I called back they hung up on me. I have called them numerous times and plan on harrassing them like they are doing everyone else. They actually told me not to call their number back. What a joke. Scam big time!!!!!!!!
