The same thing happened to me Jenn - they've been calling my cell phone three times a day for the past two weeks. I don't answer but one day called them back to have my number removed and the number they reported to have for me wasn't my number! So frustrating.

When I answer their calls I say hello and wait a few seconds for them to reply. Then they sometimes come on sounding as though they're not sure I answered. Other times there is no voice, just a click. It appears they dial several numbers simataniously and the first to answer gets to speak to some non-English speaking foreigner. The other called numbers are all treated as though the call was never made.
I just tell them to F*** off and then hang up.

I've been getting it as well but have never answered.  I called the number back and got a message that I had reached ???Marketing and I may have been contacted on behalf of one of their clients.  So it must be a call centre type place that makes cold calls for different companies.  Anyway, it said if I would like my number placed on their do not call list to leave a message with my name and number.  I did, so I'll see if it works, otherwise I will lodge a complaint from the national do not call website.

They are bothering us, calling all the time.

These yo-yo's might be looking for residences that are not answering or occupied. If I get broken into the sucker is in for a bad surprise. I hooked up a state of the art system and have german sheppard who does not make a sound, but he's trained for a key word, otherwise he is in attack mode!! If he gets ahold of someone who does not belong, he will keep them till I get home.. then you remember that scene in pulp fiction where Marcellus Wallace talks about getting pliers and a blow torch.. well, I'll make that look like a picnic with mary poplins.

Total boiler room operation. Dialler. I called the number back and got the crappiest robotic sounding pbx with a prompt to press "1" to remove your number. No company name...

this number is really annoy...  keep call here almost everyday

TOO easy..you call..press one etc etc..follow the outgoing message instructions & enter your phone #..10 digits Incl area code.. & they remove it in 24hrs...No more calls =0))
& you don't even have to speak / argue with a human !

I'm reporting this call for reason that it calls serveral times  in a week

This number called my cell twice today already and I just called it back after googling the number.  I removed the number.  Let's see if it works!!!!!

received a call today, nobody there ... then disconnected... this is the second call from this business
Bunch of losers, called the number back 1-866 427-9161 and removed my number. We'll see if it works in "the next 24 hours" as they say.

Looks like I'm off to the DNC list to see if they actually work

Some marketing company that should not be calling me as my number is registered with the national do not call registry with the government.

I called back the number 18664279161 and followed the instructions and entered my number to not be called again. Got a message saying my number will be removed in the next 24 hours. Let's see if it is.

If they call me again after 2 days, I will come back and write and update.

I am so tired of getting these calls. I have listed with the No-Telemarketers calling, but this one is getting through. How can we stop this?

Got this call on my cell and funny thing is, I knew it was a scam off the start. I already have a PC Financial Mastercard and yet they're asking me to put in an application. Took them five times to take the no answer each time they asked. How they got my name and number is beyond me because my number in on the DNC list and I only gave my number to very, very few people. I am going to torture these people if they call again because when I actually call PC Financial Mastercard, the call is crisp and clear, not crappy and annoying like this call was. Too much echo and like others said, robotic sounding.

If you do business with PC (yes, that includes points!) then the DNC list does NOT work.  They are allowed to use your name and phone number.

If you have done businesses with PC in the last two years, they can call you as well.  There is nothing that says they can't outsource your number to someone else.  Most businesses don't screen their outsourcing companies like they should.

As for confirming your address, PC would NOT be allowed to sell that information.  Your name and phone number is all they can sell, that's it.  Also, the company they use will HAVE to remove your name/number from their lists if you ask them to (and if they are legit).

The number 866-427-9161 calls us at least two times a day
I do not know what to do to stop it
