866-452-1137 calls several times per day.  Nobody there...just a few seconds of silence, then hangup.  I have contacted my phone company today and they are tracing the calls.  I am filing a police report Monday 10.8.07 and calling my attorney to sue them for the harrassment.  I am tired of it.
BellSouth (A T & T) is tracing origin for my police report.

I get at least 2 calls a day from this number.  Must be some type of scam.  I 'm going to check my phone bill.  last year there was a number that when you returned the call you were charged 50.00 each time. I disputed it and the charges were reversed.  BE Carefull.!!

These people call me at least once a day it seems. Some days it is even more often. I have actually waited on the line long enough to talk to someone and told her to take me off the list, but the calls keep coming. After reading some of the other reports I'm nervous that my credit card, which is actually a debit card is  not safe. What should I do?

I hope you sue the pants off of them. Would you be kind enough to let the rest of us know on this site who they are when you find out? I'd like to have the information for my own lawsuit if yours is able to proceed. Thanks.

They call and get you to confirm your credit card info and address and they say they are sending a free gift.  They then get a verification number over the phone and then hang up.  The call back number does not answer.  They need to be reported.....

Same deal here, im about to flip out and sue some people! ps. dont call back from other numbers- theyll get those too! now i got them ringing me up on 2 different lines, any idea how this may have happened?!

I receive a call from this number 1 to 2 times a day.  This along with at least 3 or 4 other telemarketing calls.  This has happened every since I ordered a book off the TV from Kevin Trudeau.

I ordered the book less than 30 days ago and the phone has been ringing off the hook every since with all these telemarketing calls.  Prior to this I hardly ever received a solicitation call.  Has anyone else ordered a book off the TV from Kevin Trudeau?

Tonay, Veterans Day at about 9:37 am I got a ca;; from this number. Before managing to pick up the call ended but my phobe recorded where the call came from.

Calling immediately back a pre-recorded message was played back to the sense "All our agents are currently busy, call back another time" and the call was again terminated.

With econmony now certainly IN TANK, dollar being refused by thre rest of the world, this Administration and the Feds's Barnacle (saw the guy on CSAPAN yesterday, Congressional "hearing") the Feds obviously feel that they have to let the "invisible hand of the market" do its (extra, dirty?) work.

This number called twice today - no-one there.  When I called the number back I got a message saying "sorry but all of our agents are currently busy, we'll try this call again later," and then it disconnected.

Same story as everyone else!  I'm sick of it but don't know how to stop it. Does anyone know who these people are and is there anyway to block their calls?

The number called me again (see my earlier entry).  This is the 4th time they have called me this week.  This time there was a call center in the background.  I promptly spoke in French and of course they hung up.  

For those wanting to know what to do, it is an violation of FCC/FTC rules for a number to call when you have asked them not to; so for those who have been fortunate enough to be able to ask the person on the other end to take your number off the list you should file a complaint.

I have a missing autistic son since 2005. These hang up calls are CRUEL!!!

I keep getting a call from this number as well.  I do not understand what is gained from making these calls.  I answer and there is no reply.  Why do I continue to get this call daily?

I received several calls from 866-452-1137 every other day.  They asked if I am Susan and they told me that I have won $200 gas card and they wanted to confirm the last 4 digits of my credit card number and my home address.  I tried to be stupid and asked them what credit card!!!???? and then they hung up.  I think the best way is not to answer the calls and they will stop, eventually.

a few weeks ago i got a call (probably from this number but since it was the first time i didn't note it) from a customer service-sounding center. the agent knew my name and where i lived (which is obvious from the area code of course) and said that because i had been such a good credit card customer, they wanted to reward me with free gas and walmart gift cards, if i would just read my address to confirm what agent had on the screen. i recognized this as phishing and told the guy as much, upon which he hung up very quickly. about a week later these hang-up calls started, a couple a day, from that number. there's never anyone on the line, and when i call back i also get the "agents are busy" message.

this is clearing a phishing scam - i'd recommend checking your credit reports and online bank statements more often than usual.

in the mean time, does anyone know a way to ask the phone company (this is AT&T wireless for me) how to block calls from a particular number?
