- Tygerkat replies to JenWho? The scammers? Of course not. There's nothing they can do if you don't fall for their scam.
- Jen| 1 replyNo caller id called… lady name Rosie left voicemail stated she was “processor dispatch” from Avery Law and left a file number for me to call same day otherwise legal action will be taken. Said it was regarding residential. Funny how I don’t even own a home. I still had a friend call them and they gave the first 3 digits of my social. Then I found more reviews with the same exact experience as me. First off- which attorney is open 24/7?! Second off - Why is “attorney number” showing up as “No Caller ID” These scammers are stealing personal information and harassing people for money. What a joke!! Number they left for me to call us 855-728-3037

- BigA replies to JenIn addition to what I have previously posted.
The fake process server/location finder extortion SCAM usually consists of the following:
They mention that they have received a Fax document or some sort of complaint and that there is a pending legal matter or action about to filed against you to create the sense of urgency. They tell you that they are a “process server” and cannot give you the particulars of the case since the file is sealed. This is simply ruse to get you to call another number (often with a made-up case number) where they will ask for money to “make it go away” (this is actually the same place, they work in teams, one pretending to be the server, and the other usually pretends to be a lawyer). They threaten to serve you at home or at work. They tell you that if they serve you at work then they will need a supervisor, security, or HR person there as a witness, hoping that will cause you to panic over the alleged embarrassment of being served at work. They also tell you that you will need two forms of ID. None of which is true. Process servers do not ever call ahead so that you can dodge them. Process servers get paid to serve papers, nothing else. They certainly are not going to pass up a paycheck by telling you that you can avoid being served, they are not going to give you an extra day or even a few hours to get a “stop order”. Court documents are time sensitive and must be served within a certain amount of time. Remember that you can always call the local courthouse to see if there really is a lawsuit that has been filed against you. - Tmp| 1 replyGot a call about a lawsuit against my father. They refused to give any info except that they are “Avery legal services”. No address and they deal from an unknown number stating that you need to call back at 8669190395 or else they will pursue legal action. It’s a definite scam because there’s no outstanding debt nor any lawsuits against my dad. Spoke to “Sabrina”

- LM replies to TmpI had the exact same experience. Left me a message asking me to call the same #, 8669190395. When I called the number the guy said they were trying to reach my dad to serve papers. Mentioned the name of the street my dad lives on and gave me his birth date and asked if they were both correct. Instead of verifying they had the correct information (which they did) I asked why they were contacting me on my cell phone and where they had gotten my cell phone # if they were trying to reach my dad. He replied saying they had gotten my info at the court house. Definitely a scam! If they already had that much info on my dad, then they had his full address and his 3 phone #'s as well and there would be no reason to contact me.
- David RI received two separate phone calls months apart. They also called my sister and Mom. I spoke with Sarah and she said i have a visa credit card debt from 2016 in the amount of 2551.26 Lol even had the cents. She told me that i got the card through Cross county bank who had merged with Applied bank. I told her i had never taken a credit card out with either bank and that i would investigate, to make sure someone wasn't using my identity, even though this supposed card was not on my credit file. I than called Applied bank and they informed me that i don't have an account on file with them and that they don't have any affiliation with cross country bank. Furthermore they put me in touch with their fraud department and was told nothing is on file. And the funniest thing, they want to serve me documents, and never asked me for my address, lol. Don't stress over it.

- BrendaI just got a call from Nationwide Legal regarding Avery Law firm serving me and gave me a file number. After reading these comments not responding.
- Very Concerned victimI received a call from them as well, advising that I owed a debt that was from 2002- Yes 2002
( 20 years ago ) for a vehicle that had been repossessed. They called my step daughter on her NEW phone number that was never associated with my number at all so strange as that phone is in her mothers name. They not only advised that they have been attempting to serve me papers several times ( I have never been contacted in the mail , or in person) They left a voicemail with my personal information ( that is illegal in the state of AZ and i am sure in other states as well ) with other people than myself. I contacted my attorney ( I have legal benefits) and they did some research on this so called company " Avery Legal services" and advised me this is a scam. They advised that they are attempting to serve papers to me.. First off what papers? In order to have you served with papers they would have to FILE papers with a court first ! ( this is public information and no papers have been filed , my attorneys office checked) Today I am filing a complaint with the Arizona attorneys generals office, as the debt in reference is clearly over the SOL for the state of Arizona ( 6 years for signed contracts and auto debt) and they CANNOT advise that they can sue you if they CANT- this is how they build urgency to collect. ( then it becomes fraud). If you owe a debt at any point and it is past the SOL you still owe the debt yes ,but they cant use legal recourse for a court to collect any longer, and that is how they are able to obtain the ability to garnish wages, attach to your property Etc. Please do yourself a favor and do some research( It is different for each state). This was not even my debt to begin with, but for this company to provide such information to another person than myself is illegal ( there are privacy laws to what can be left on a voicemail and provided to another person ) and they never even advised that this was an attempt to collect such debt and that Miranda is required in every state in the US . If you take the time to report here , I encourage you to contact your state's attorney generals office as well, at least they can confirm for you the validity of what they are trying to do, if anything to place your mind at ease. I hope that you found this helpful.- Caller: Avery Legal Services
- AleThey called stating I did not pay a line on my house when I first bought my home. I told them I refinanced my home 4 times since I bought my home. They replied it was removed from my credit reference. I asked them if that was the case who did it cause I never ask for anything to be removed. I than ask why did anyone not notify me and the replied they did. I ask for a copy of the documents with my signature and the stated they would have a constable serve me and they will see me in court. I hung up.
