I just got a phone call from this number and that "Martin"  told me that he has some 'paperwork' handed by City Bank stating that I owe a balance of $400.00 resulting from a Jewerly that I've never ever purchased something from it. He was VERY persistant asking my bank acct # and I told me to send me the info on the mail; he said he will first "Electronically" set up my payments and then send me some notification on the mail. Of course I didn't give him any bank info. I told him I needed to investigate why do I have this balance and he got really concerned questioning me what I was going to do. I'm sending a letter to the three credit bureaus today, please be careful with this phone calls and don't give them any information at all.

I got a call the other day they said they were CRS which ended up being capital recovery systems, I talked to this guy he said he was Dave Martin called me about an old credit card debt, Dave worked with me and by him helping me I was able to get my house at a good rate.

got a call from this guy-Paul Rice--gave this number, looking for a statement about bro-in-law who never lived anywhere near me. he said he had paperwork pending and couldn't hold onto it for another week....from the looks of all these posts, i guess i won't be returning the call.

Some how reached my work number, stated he must have a call by the following Friday as paperwork was in his office - Name was Adam Nix, did not provide a company name, stated that he did not want to leave more information on my voicemail.  Gave a local number as well of 508-553-1939

Received a phone call from 866-553-1950, Scott Ames, from CR Systems, left a message stating that they were looking for a former tenant of mine.  A tenant who has not lived in my building for over nine years.  When I called the number back the operator would not give me the name of the company or what it was for. She questioned me as to who I wanted to speak with and what it was about.  But yet, she would not divulge any info.  Thanks for having this site.

I thanks CRS so much they saved me some valuable creit report points by reminging me of a bill I completely forgot about

PAUL WRIGHT called our home and left a message on our answering machine requesting that I call him back immediately. He had a file on his desk and needed to locate April Winchester. Also that I was the next person listed to contact. Me or my wife know this person "PAUL" is speaking of. I called back and somone else answered and would not tell me anything. NOt the company name or how they had my name. Told me to call back today and speak with PAUL. I called today and spoke with PAUL and told him I did not know this April lady and what company was he calling from. He refused to tell me anything. He told me he would remove my name from the list. This is ridiculous! Sounds like SCAM to me

What and how do we stop this Scott Ames from calling?  Any legal advises?  I am about to hire an attorny to take action against this harrasment.  They went as far as digging into my roommate's information! Isn't this invading privacy of some sort?

My dad received a call from a Scott Ames (he's still working there by the looks of it) looking for my ex-husband who I have been separated and divorced from for years.  He used my dad, myself and my mom as references.  Mr. Ames informed my dad that he was a litagation attorney and needed to speak with him now.  My dad said he was rude and was very pushy.  My dad said that whole thing seemed very fishy.  My dad told him right out that he would get him the message and to stop calling him that he does not have any contact with him.  He then asked for my number and when my dad refused to give it to him, he hung up on him.

it's foolish to think a third party chooses to randomly extort money from you that you actually owe.

look up extortion and get back to us...

if you don't pay your bills, it's not up to you whether the entity that you owe sells, or outsources the collection of, your debt.

plus a third party business that makes collections their business - aren't going to choose randomly... they try to collect everything. that's the point.

Yeah pay my bills. 10% of the population is out of work and that's all you have to say. You pay my bills since you have such a great job with all this extra money.

Someone by the name of Mr. Nicks, CRS contacted my mother, on 8/22/10, stating that he had some paperwork on his desk and needed a recommendation.  So, I called this same number and asked for Mr. Nicks.  Someone by the name of Jack Richards told me that he was on another call, and that he could assist me.  Richards, tried to start the conversation in a humorous manner, and I politely interrupted to ask what this call is pertaining to.  I was told that I have an outstanding debt and he wanted to know when it would paid.  Mr. Richards mentioned that he took at my credit report and saw that my credit was good (with a score of 650).  You've got to be kidding - WRONG...my credit score is much higher.  First of all, that file was closed, and second the the creditor is no longer doing business.  Mr. Richards also stated that if I wanted to avoid having my credit ruined to pay the debt on my credit card, and if it is found that this debt has been paid, CRS would send me a refund. I will be reporting them to the Fraud Hotline.

MR. Nix is so nice he worked with me and was very reasonable...I dont know why everyone cant work something out with him

I just recived a call from this number and i took the call appearently it was a man named Tom Linston and he needed to speak with my father right away and then he asked if i was my mom and i said no this is his daughter and he asked if i knew when my dad would be back i said that he was at the vet with  my mother and didnt know he gave me a case number his name and file number and would not tell me what the call was about just that he needed to speak 2 my dad refused to give me the company name or any other information

Returned home from a trip to find this number, a file number and a guys name Tom Winston posted to my door. Have tried calling it back however I just get a Voice Recording that says you have reached CRS sorry no one is avail to take your call please leave your name and number even in you think we have it.

I keep getting a call from a Paul Germain about a very important call regarding my mother and that it is of dire importance that my mother return the call.  I do not live with my mom, nor have I for many years.  My mother is an elderly disabled lady who is unable to care for herself so I am unsure what they want with her?  I have read these posts and the whole thing seems kind of fishy!  I called the number and got an operator who said he was a crs operator and asked who I wanted to connect with . . . he was very rude and wouldn't tell me anything.  I hung up and they immediately called me back?  I do not know if this is a scam or what, but all of the names of the collectors seem very fishy! Not really sure why they would contact me?
