Left voice message to contact Terrell Houston at Blue Coast Financial to discuss our properties federal tax information.  Called the number back and the outgoing voice message references the 2008 federal tax credit.

Received a call from "Diane" in regards to "Credits on our federal returns", she wanted to discuss it with us. Funny how there is no company name or last name, there is only an option for leaving a message, when you call, there is no company name... sounds like a scam!

Client received message from Diane about his federal tax for his motel.  I called number back, no business name was mentioned, only asked to enter extension, then went to voice mail.  She called me back and no name came up on caller ID.  She said the company was called Blue Coast Financial and they wanted to set up an appointment with their advisors to make sure the motel was getting all of their federal tax credits.
I think the company is soliciting their financial services and using tax credits (for which most companies do not qualify)to bring in those that may think they are missing out on some money.

Recieved a call from Tim at 866-569-4303, said his extension was 8513.  Didn't volunteer his company name, I had to ask for it. He asked for my controller regarding cost recovery information.  He said his company was GMG-there is a GMG Recovery Services.  Since we have no outstanding bills, I came to the conclusion that he was soliciting for business and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call List.

I actually set up a date and time for an advisor to meet with me. They showed me the Cost Segregation benefit that a lot of the larger CPA firms are using. Turns out I had over a 200K benefit available to me. When it came time to file my federal taxes I was able to use the benefit instead of paying in this year. The amount of benefit I could not use I am able to carry forward. My CPA is now suggesting this to all of his clients. I suggest you take this company serious because they have a lot to offer. Soon Cost Segregation is going to be widely known and it could be to late to take advantage of the benefit. Good luck to all in business and have fun paying in on your federal taxes....LOL.
Blue Coast is a very professional company. Their service was top notch and my CPA said their report was the best nation wide. I can not say enough about the company. Thanks again Blue Coast Finacial!!!

It has nothing to do with your bills. It is regarding some federal tax benefit that commercial company's qualify to receive. I looked it up on the IRS website and so far it seems to be true. We are in the process of engaging them. I will let you know how it turns out. So far everything is legal and suggested through the IRS by a 3rd party engineering firm. I have done the research and GMG is a fast growing company who provides this service. Jeremy Harrison 248-770-6395 is the person I spoke with at the company. He put together a FREE report for us showing how much benefit we are going to be receiving.
Here is the link to the IRS website. If you do not know about this I am guessing your CPA does not understand it or does not like you.

I got a call on this from a Matt, sounded like a scam so I sent them over to my CPA.  My CPA is working with them, turns out I have a $320,000 credit coming to me.  I got on my CPA why they didn't do it, but my CPA said they can't because it's an engineering credit or something.  I didn't understand much of what the guy was trying to tell me, but my CPA seems to understand it.

Just got a similar call, asking for the CEO.  Did not let him through...had to fight for the nature of the business and the company name.

Circular file is a good place for this message.  My boss doesn't have time for this.

Wow, that's great! So instead of me working directly with the IRS, I can hire somebody as a middleman. That would be much more time-consuming and complex, and also it would cost more money. This is exactly what my business needs right now because my CPA doesn't like me. (Yeah right).

The IRS states this is the proper way to depreciate your building. You can work with your CPA but if you get audited then you pay your CPA to defend you. A third party engineering firm gives 100% audit defense to the client on any reports. You are probably the guy that would need heart surgery but would not use some one who specializes in that type of surgery. Hey what the heck, save on cost until you get audited. Show me a CPA firm that has done more than 10,000 studies on these federal tax incentives. I can show you several of the top 10 CPA firms that outsource your study to our firm. I can also show you audio testimonials of companies that were capturing it through their CPA firm and when using us we were able to capture 10 times more than what the CPA was capturing. All the large companies are doing this but that explains why they are profitable and you are probably not. Good luck with your business, I am sure you are doing a fine job!!!

Cost Segregation, R&D credits and Energy Credits. All the news has been talking about these credits. The Federal Government has made available 12 billion dollars and only 6 has been captured. The reason for that must be because of CPA telling their clients they do not qualify for them. Not to worried because last week we helped out clients with 2.3 million dollars in credits. Check into any of the top CPA firms they strongly suggest capturing these credits.

Spoke with someone named Rick Mathews, this is the first time (of many) that I was able to get a name without them hanging up on me. I told the man that I was not interested and I told him to put us on their Do Not Call List.  We will see if this works out...

Would you please take a few minutes to send me an email summarizing your experience with BCF since you posted to this message thread? I am hoping that talking to existing clients about the company will enable me to make an informed decision.

I'm in a similar business but we stay away from making calls like that, most people are just too busy in the day for it.

Blue Coast is certainly a legit organization... they've been known to do a good job and probably won't be wasting your time, it's just a lengthy process to explain the tax credits they are advocating and they're just trying to get through to the right person. As annoying as the calls may be, please remember it's just people trying to make a living, they have kids and bills just like you & me.

How do you show an audio response?  Duh.  These people are hard sell [***].  Trust me.  If you have ANY CPA, they will know how to do a cost segregation on the building you just built.  Many of of us are leasing so we do not qualify.  That's when they hit you with the R&D.  I am sure we all have a Research and Development department.  We needed that to design our space capsule.  They read from a script and they waste time.  And the previous post is correct, YOU are on the hook, not them.  They claim they'll defend the position and pay any taxes except penalties and interest.

Truth or not the truth...which ever.  If you call me acting like a hard pushing, evasive sales person, you will be treated as such.  Period.  Our Tax Firm has gotten us all the credits we are due.  These folks struck me as the same type of deal as the people who call you and say they have found "un-claimed money" that belongs to you...and for a fee they will lead you to it.  They may be legit, but as I said...if they don't act like a respectable company I will have nothing to do with them.

This is a flat out scam it looks like, I found a story in a newspaper giving this same # as the one that called them...
    http://www.idahopress.com/?id=21100

In this article the people calling claimed to be working for the IRS and were announcing bailout money and tax credits for business. They just needed some of your information. It says its a phishing scam trying to get private business information, much like identity theft on a business level.

They called asking for like 5 different titles, may we speak with the owner, manager, building manager, ceo, person in charge of taxes....Since we already pay the account of our choice we will not hire on someone who calls us from an 800#.
