since this company is a bill collecting agency
they would not be calling all of you folks
if you would just pay your bill!
they are hired by whomever you owe $ to
seems pretty simple to me

they call four to fives times in an hour. when you call them back they don't tell you who they are working for. i am to the point that I will not answer the call. It goes directly to voice mail. I have reported them to the BBB. No response yet.

Not necessarily so.  We keep getting calls from this company for someone with a very similar name.  Different middle initial.  Different address.  Different city, even.  

When they've been told they have the wrong person, they call back anyway.  Maybe that person will magically appear at my house?!

Why are you on this site then, if you don't owe $$$?

I got a call from them over the weekend and tried to speak to them very calmly and professionally but they just started yelling at me and being very sarcastic. He wouldn't let me speak and continued yelling at me so I hung up on him.  Other collection agencies were professional and kind. If I had to pay back any creditors, JC Christenson would be the very last, if at all. Their conduct was appalling.

because this site is not only about debt collectors - it's about any unwanted calls, but that happens to include debt collectors who keep calling the wrong number for the debtor even after being told that the number now belongs to someone else completely unrelated.

I have been out of work for 2 years, have found two major jobs, each of which I was laid off of because I had to have serious medical surgery and was not able to return to work when they wanted me to.  I was also hired as a temporary employee and because of the economy was discharged after a months worth of work.  I have applied to many many jobs and a few even got interviews for, but was not chosen.  The problem is there are so many people looking for work that it is difficult for a 60 year old female find something that pays.   So, the fact is, I would love to pay my medical bill that this collection agency has, but I have virtually been unable to.  Right now I am 2 months behind in my car payment and unless I find a way to make that up, I will lose my car as well.  Thank God my house is paid for.

Now, hang around and judge me some more, will you?  You must be one of the lucky ones that has a job and has been able to keep it so far.  Not the case for all of us.  I resent your attitude and your comments!

If they really "pray" (prey) on the ignorant I'm sure they'd be happy to speak with you as the power of "attourney" (attorney) and I'm sure they'd get "farther" (further) with you if you weren't trying to scam out of paying your debt.

Sorry to hear you're down on your luck, but it still doesn't change the fact that you owe the money and they have every right to try to collect it from you. Don't you think the folks who are calling you need their jobs too? Do you think this economy is going to get any better if people don't pay their bills? When you owe money, you deal with debt collectors, don't blame them for your hard luck.

What do you expect them to politely ask if you think it's a good time to pay your bill?  Chances are they are not being rude to you because you're broke, but because YOU are being rude by refusing to take responsibility for your debt. Not paying someone the money you owe them is pretty darn RUDE if you ask me.

So Bill, you must be one of those bottom feeder collectors that harass people daily..two- three times a day..you sure seem to have all the answers.Apparently you have never had financial issues, heart surgery, loss of a job, become disabled and have no income!! You should get a real job!! Stop scanning these boards and giving advice that most people really don't give a care about as they try to put food on their table and a roof over there head.

Well, it must be REALLY nice that you live in the perfect world of endless money Bill. REAL people have financial challenges - we are not deadbeats - just people who have to decide - car payment or JC Christensen.  They are VERY rude, refuse to say WHO they are and WHAT they want. They apparently haven't heard you get more flies with honey...they can continue to be rude and not get paid...WHY is it a mystery as to who they are and what they want?????

I totally agree with stamp ladie and cc.  This company needs to learn how to interact with people. We are all under stress.  Their rudeness and refusal to speak to us like respectable human beings is uncalled for.  The man that called me - "Nate" was yelling at me saying  Well, WHO are you, and WHO are you running from?  I responded with I am NOT running from anyone - I just want to know the name of your company, who you represent and why you are calling me.   I found their name by having someone else call and a girl told them who they were. THEY REFUSED TO TELL ME - THE PERSON THEY WERE CALLING.

This is  a collection agency and if you had something go to debt with them then good luck because the people who work here are SO rude and UNPROFESSIONAL! I had a 15 minute argument with the manager because he was disrespectful. I hope this company goes under,

I just got a call from Kylie at my place of work.  Actually my boss took the message and when giving me the message said that the gal was not a very friendly person.  When I returned the call, the phone was not answered with the business name, just "this is Kylie" and when I asked who I was calling she wanted me to answer 100 questions before even giving me the reason for her call.  I understand that I owe this medical bill and plan on paying it in full but my husband died with medical bills, no life insurance and I'm living on my $12/hr job doing the best I can.  When I asked her not to call me at work she was very rude and asked when I got off work to call her ... still not knowing why I was calling her until I all but pulled her teeth to get the information.  Don't collection agencies need to give their business name?

I'm a victim too, what I did is submitting them to FBI, everyone, let's do the same, submit them! I'm sure FBI have other priorities, but when too many people complain about a company, FBI will have to start investigating, because FBI is now overwhelmed, it's become a problem for FBI too, and they have to stop it! This is the only way to stop them from harming more people!!!
The logic is pretty simple here:
They harass you ==> You turn around "harass" FBI ==> FBI turn around "harass" them ==> you will be in peace ;-)

Good point, let's discuss how to shut them down instead of crying, time to fight back, any suggestion beside submitting them to FBI? How about organize a protest in front of your local FBI building? I guarantee that will bring FBI's attention to this case!
